I made this about 10 years ago on FLStudio 3 - or maybe 2.4.  Just before they added VSTi support - melody is lame, EQ? wassat?    sketches from the past unfinished.

FLStudio project, circa 2005 or so.  My girls were travelling around the country for 6 months. Felt melancholy, so wrote this in one hit.  Unfinished, as usual :)

I think this one i actually tried to EQ - a bit - i'm lazy like that but i was finally understanding the concept, slightly.

This was again, about 2004 or so.  Girls still away, missing them, but they were at least half way around Australia and on the home stretch.  Lame use of vocal loops, call them placefillers.

Second gulf war broke out.  A friend of mine was a cameraman over in Afghanistan..  The day someone lobbed a grenade into the media compound and he was killed, some friends and I needed to get the energy out somehow.  Live jam on FL3.5, was a backing track for live bass and drums, written on the fly, pretty much just dropping vocal samples at random.   Miss ya mate :(     <3

So.. heh. it's 2006 and i just got home from a bush doof.  I've got not a clue how trance works, but i'm gonna do it man!  Big room euro style.   God i suck.  Bass sucks arse. Fruity 3.5 though, so FM7 is just out and i'm gonna hold one key down for 9 minutes. Awwwyeah. Not.

First and foremost, I am a fan, unashamedly, of great music with no real genre bias.I believe there are only 2 kinds - good music, and bad music.Of course, this is subject to taste - mine are massively eclectic.
I've never been in any way a sycophant or crap like that, however - as music has been the single lifelong passion of mine which never faltered, i am open and genuine.If i say 'that's fuckin great' i mean it.
I did time working for a couple of labels in sydney, australia, before doing the tree-change thing and moving to a pretty magical mountain community that pretty much no one has heard of - it was here, seeing the massive potential of my home as a truly unique, safe, and beautiful venue unlike any other, I began to work toward a very special, very niche, love-not-money-orientated gathering with limited and pretty much invite only attendees.
Though this dream started as my own, it has spread and found collaborators beyond expectations.Here is a place where people who make art can create permanent, long term installations, knowing that they will be kept safe because of a permanent community in residence - and - projects which take multiple years to complete can be collaborated on.
It is our sincere intent to not only give back to our own community, art, music, and love energy, but to create on an ongoing basis, a venue constantly improved by collective effort as well as cash input via grants and ticket sales, and more so, a place where our guests and friends will feel at home completely, because they have had direct energy input into the space.

Decided, for no reason other than to show a mate.. to upload a bunch of my own, totally unfinished tunes from the last decade.  These are crap, and i know it :)  

I had no concept of EQ whatsoever, and thought it was a great idea to just stack 6 kickdrums on top of each other.  With who i've met since, well, wish i'd had your shoulder to look over back then in my mountain shack, hehe.

Someday, might work on some of these more.  

FLStudio - various versions from 1.6 to about 7. Hobbyist, i write these for no one but my own expression and in some cases.. blatant attempts to see if i could work out how a style was constructed.. as said, mostly had no one to watch in action (shubby was an exception in a few cases, cheers mate!)
