A really nice remix. Great job. Although, I do feel like the song isn't loud and as powerful as the original. (Not saying the original was loud) Anyways, aside all of that, great remix!

My submission for the first round of SHC's Mega Drive Music Contest!

The prompt for this round was to doll up a track in Sonic 3 that was changed for the Origins collection, and though I had done a couple already (Launch Base and Super Sonic say hi!), there were rules against submitting past works, so I opted to choose Ice Cap Zone.

Now for this one, I tried to maintain a level of high energy all throughout, since the zone still opens up with Sonic snowboarding down a mountain, and the original proto track comes off super unfitting in that context (I even played the track alongside footage from the game to make sure it felt right). I also added some original stuff after the B-section to break the repetition of having the same two chords over and over.

Wow this track was INCREDIBLY difficult to put together. It's not because the song itself is difficult, the song is actually very simple. It was because of the amount of trial and error I had to go through to get to this point. It was a fun challenge for sure! I always try to capture the feel of the original song while still maintaining my trademark sparkly style!
