Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Megan Luttrell from Marion, Massachusetts has recently made her way onto the Kansas music scene. Starting at local open mics she was soon noticed by other musicians in Lawrence and warmly and enthusiastically embraced by the music community there. 
She has always had a love for music, and has been singing since before she can remember. She began playing the guitar around the age of 14 and immediately threw herself into songwriting. She draws inspiration from a variety of musical styles including country, blues, and folk. Growing up she listened to powerhouse female singers like Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge, and grew to love folk and bluegrass after moving to Vermont.
Megan’s songs are deeply personal. Each one draws on either one or a combination of significant moments in her life. She writes about love, loss, and the experience of loving and caring for a partner battling severe alcoholism. She has performed in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Kansas at a variety of venues and events. Her emotional lyrics and powerful, soulful voice make her songs moving and unique. She released her first album, “Broken Bottles,” on June 10, 2016.
