Released in 1997, this collaboration between Snitzer & Mc Coy and Humate captures the intensity of European techno at the time. The Heavy Mix rhythm presses forward with a force. Synth lines swell in arcs that hover above the drums.

The combination of producers brought together different strengths. The drive and weight of Snitzer & Mc Coy with the melodic sensibility Humate had honed across records like Love Stimulation. The result is a piece that can fill a floor while keeping an edge of mystery intact.
A defining release for Superstition and a track that has carried its power into new generations of listeners, it holds its place as part of our Classic of the week selection.

One of the final tunes made for the album, Im not sure how to categorize this as other than just pure party music. This has been a staple in my sets as of late and always gets a reaction from the crowd. The vocalist is Lafa Taylor who is someone ive wanted to work with for a while now.  I consider this tune as the follow up to "Sleeveless Jumpoff" tune i made with Wick-It the Instigator from my previous "R.YF.SO" Album. I was gonna name it Sleeveless Jumpoff part 2 but "Heavy Metal Shit" just felt right haha

This song is for every girl who's been fuckzoned. 

Maddy and I made this because we feel it really addresses this ridiculous paradox of "friendzoning" and how it totally boxes women into this unreasonable and misogynistic idea that we are here for one purpose only. To put out or get out.

These ideas have been perpetuated in music ever since I can remember, sadly even in some of the songs I looked back on as "favorites"; such as, 'I Got A Man' by Positive K, or 'Promiscuous Girl' from Timba & Nelly Furtado, and several others I could easily go on about. It's no secret that the music industry has always perpetrated and prolonged sexism and inequality, but I feel like this is my opportunity to address my feelings about those unrealistic expectations and simultaneously provide solidarity for women who have experienced similar experiences.

PSA: Stop friendzoning yourself by fuckzoning the people in your life.

Just treat others how you'd like to be treated ffs.
