Program notes:
This piece explores the stages of a forest fire. Beginning with the natural state of a forest using all wooden sounds and instruments. Then slowly progressing to metallic and human sounds until players are all on battery instruments and the forest is engulfed in flames. The piece ends with the aftermath of the forest fire left in ashes.
