I made this music using Korg DS-10 on the Nintendo DS. It's got a lighthearted Jazz/Pop sort of feel to it.

Failing with Distinction

Some fun music. I created the chords using hookpad first just experimenting. Then I made this moving bass line and added drums and whatnot. Decided to make it with some 8bit nes sounds, because those are fun. Melody is rather simple, but I like it. This should be in a cartoon or something.

I wanted to evoke ancient civilizations with this. That you were finding new undiscovered cave paintings that just might summon some ancient evil. It uses flutes, harp and some eerie synth sounds.

This is soundtrack music. As I was creating this melody, I imagined it could be used for a contemplative temple area in a game. Something ancient is being worshipped by a small group of dedicated monks.

So this is some fun chip tune music. Made in the authentic style of 3 voices plus noise. I used the great chipsounds plugin to create authentic gameboy music. I kept to using 2 pulse, plus wave channel throughout. 

It's got a pretty good groove to it.

This is a long piece of music with many parts. Half orchestral, and half industrial soundscape. It evokes an ancient industrial evil built on an active volcano and the volcano's history.

This piece has 4 parts
1: Tower of Lava (0:00-7:10)An unnatural tower is being constructed on top of an volcano. An unknown evil is being created in the depths of the lava, And it will soon be unleashed on the world. 
2: Magma Factory (7:10-12:30)Heroes rise up to take down the ancient evil, and battles rage over the ages. In time both factions of the tower and the heroes are lost to the ages, with only a faint remnant of the tower's power remains. 
3: Shrine to the Smoldering Volcano (12:30-18:45) In time a new age comes when the volcano's ancient history is worshiped as a religion. It's a faint memory now with no more heroes or villains, just contemplation and meditation on past.
4: Another Volcano (18:45-26:15)Can the power in the volcano be awoken again? In an age of discovery and renewal, newfound technology exploit the volcano's latent power. The power can be used for good, but the volcano's horrible past may be on the verge of being created once again.

This is a really crunchy lo-fi Jazz/Funk/Rock track. I started with some cheap Casio keyboard samples and canned swing drums. The rest of the track, vision just exploded from there. I tried to make an intentional dirty Lo-Fi sound for the whole thing project. Everything is sampled and done in software, but I wanted to get as close as I could to a band recording a DIY track in their garage on their cheap instruments. 

Despite the Lo-Fi elements, I think this has some good melodies and grooves too. I'm pretty happy with the whole effect. All the software makes things sound too clean to me, I want to try to recreate some dirt.

Make Do

This is a chiptune blues track. It uses synthetic voices and lots of low bit-rate crunch to make a cool blues song. It's a song about getting sick of a broken chip telling you lies. 

I used plenty of plugins from Plogue Art et Technologie. Specifically their chipspeech, chipsynth portafm and chipcrusher products.

Aint Got My Chips

This is RPG battle music. It's fast with a rhythmic bass line, and lots of tuned percussion. It's a bit of orchestral meets rock like classic JRPG.

Flutes and Synths and Pianos and Clav and Bass and Cajón and Brush. Fun track with a jaunty beat.

Never Not Novel

This track was made to evoke a feeling of discovering something strange in a forest. But that something strange turns into a groove, but there's still something strange and dangerous in the forest. 

This track has soundtrack, sound design quality to it, but it also has a good bassline and drum groove at parts too.
