The Lake

The young sorcerer cannot bear the thought of his loved one being gone. He uses forbidden dark magic to try to find her, but over time he becomes more and more convinced she has perished. He leaves the academy, descending into darkness and madness, unable to control his emotions, and becomes the villain he never intended to be.

The Dark Sorcerer

The letter is from the woman, addressed to the young sorcerer. She confesses her love to him, but he gets the feeling something was amiss when the letter was written.

Lost Letter

Over time, the young sorcerer and the lady from the garden fall in love, and he learns her story. But a jealous and ill-intentioned rival from the academy follows the young sorcerer, and when he arrives, the woman is nowhere to be found. Worried that his rival has done something to harm her, the young sorcerer battles his rival in the rain. Though the young sorcerer has the upper hand, his rival manages to escape in the darkness of the storm, dropping something as he flees: a letter.

Retreat In The Storm

Though he is not supposed to interact with those outside the academy, the young sorcerer is drawn to the woman's beauty. She seems lonely, but there is something else about her that draws him to her. She, too, has the gift of magic, but he wonders why she has not been forced to undergo training as others with magic have.

Peculiar Encounter

Though he is forbidden to leave, a young and overly ambitious sorcerer flees his academy in a rage, finding an unkempt garden beyond its gates. He finds solace in the chaotic overgrowth. As he wanders, he soon finds he is not alone: a lady, too, seeks peace here.

But no matter where you find yourself, an underlying terror threatens all, and it is up to a group of hunters to keep the city safe. (Story by Nick Brown and friends, not me :))

The stone arch crumbled after he walked through it, leaving her perplexed and alone. She kneeled to the ground in disbelief, placing her hands on the rubble scattered around her feet. The ruins of the arch remained, but he was no where to be found. She wondered if it was possible that he was buried beneath, but she knew he wasn't. She had seen him walk through it, clear as day, and then it fell.
