Redemptions Call

My name is David Mallory.  There are dozens of David Mallory’s on the net so I go by the stage name Meglodave.  This is a self deprecating name I gave myself over 25 years ago.  I suffer from a form of erotomania.  I have the mistaken belief that someone is in love with me and she gives me messages on the radio.  I am aware of this but still I’ve been unable to shake it.  As a method of coping, I have taken to making and listening to my own music using GarageBand.  Most of my stuff is instrumental, but I have a few where I sing.  I have a whole day worth of my own music to listen to.  Most of it is on another service.  

I Believe in Music was my first cover and the process of getting it liscensed made me rethink my game.  I’ve decided to post some of my music here and possibly get it on YouTube and Spotify and stuff.  Everything is done mostly on my iPad.  Recording Production Distribution everything.  I use GarageBand with Apple Loops, Virtual Instruments, and a pluggin app called Riffler.  

I don’t play an instrument.  I decided a few years back to skip the muscle memory and go straight for theory.  Instead of making TikTok videos I make music.  My long battle with writers block is finally over. I’m going through my enormous catalog of instrumentals and adding lyrics.  Bear with me I’m a beginner.
