Megus played a live show at Voronezh Anime Festival in 2017 and released studio recording of all songs as an album. All songs are covers except for the opening track.

Counting Clouds

It was a big challenge to sing this song, enka is difficult to sing. I want to show my gratitude to Mitsuo Takahashi and Yuta Takahashi for discovering it. Mitsuo is a chef in a Japanese restaurant I love. Once upon a time, I decided to make a birthday gift to Mitsuo and sing one of his favorite songs. I asked Yuta if he can find out such a song and a day later I got a reply — Amagi Goe. I fell in love with this song immediately. Of course, Ishikawa Sayuri sings it much better than I do but I hope that you'll like my version too.

Bad Monday, the main "smash hit" from my performance at #vrnfest. I've been asked a number of times to release a studio recording of it, so here it is. My big gratitude goes to Emnily for making this song twice better (initially I planned to sing alone). And thanks to Monk for suggesting to do a duet with Emnily.

The idea to mix Blue Monday — the classic synth-pop hit by New Order — and Touhou fans creation — Bad Apple — came to me immediately after the first listen to the latter because they have very similar drum patterns. My arrangement was heavily influenced by Orgy's fantastic cover of Blue Monday. I was pretty surprised by the lacking of such mashups/mixes (except one poor quality mashup I found on YouTube).

Tatakae! Otaking! — the real anthem from "anime about otaku, for otaku, created by otaku" Otaku no Video. I sing it for a long time already, there's even a recording from 2004, but I really wanted to create a new version for this project.

My duet with Div — Orange Mystery. It’s a song from a good old anime Kimagure Orange Road which I really love. I listened to its soundtrack lots of times and always wanted to sing some song from it. I’m very happy that Div agreed to sing it together with me.

Orange Mystery (KOR OST, feat. Div)

A kind of song you usually don’t hear at anime festivals — my interpretation of traditional Tuvan song Dyngyldai. I love Tuvan music for a long time already and learn the art of throat singing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a proper lyrics translation so it may happen that the arrangement doesn’t match the meaning of the song.

Dyngyldai was probably the most difficult and demanding song at the concert. Thanks to Div who played jaw harp part on the stage. The studio version features me playing “The Wave” jaw harp by Dmitry Glazyrin.

Dyngyldai

This track is the remake of my old composition. I never wrote music in such genre before so it was a big challenge for me. But I like the result and hope you'll like it too.
