Dandy Ol' Randy was written in protest of the students that would abuse our crossing guard.  Admittedly he was a little off but there was pretty good reason.  Have empathy for your fellow man.  <3

From 2005-2006 Shut Up Dax was definitely someone's problem in Portland, Tx.  The recording of this album was exactly as it sounds.  One microphone in the middle of a living room in an abandoned trailer with the cables running out the window to the living home next door.  The our singer/guitarist , Zach, would run between the house to start the recording and run back.  Later he edited in the vocals.  Absolute perfection.
Kelly Road is about Zach missing his childhood home and literally starts with him and our bassist, Nathan, saying it's their favorite song.

From 2005-2006 Shut Up Dax gave you something to cry about.  This song was played at the multiple night Highschool talent show where they only received an honorable mention one night.  Everybody accepted this slight with poise and grace only a true psychopath could appreciate.  They wrote a song about it.  (I'll tell you which song it is later)

From 2005 to 2006 Shut Up Dax ran the boldest heist the coastal bend had, and would ever, be exposed to.
Shut Up Dax was well on their way to taking over their hometown, which was merely a stepping stone to an inevitable world tour, selling out, buying back in, getting nose jobs, and ultimately realizing a life well spent.  We can blame many things but we should just blame the emos.
The E'no' Song was born from a rivalry with the local emos.  Not everyone in the band hated the emos but everyone likes playing this music.  10/10 would do again.

Time as we know it began in 2005.  lol.  No, that's silly.
From 2005 to 2006 Shut up Dax was responsible for a local shortage of seats in at their favorite nightclub, Expresso.com.  Their final show was a cancer benefit concert for their name sake, Dax, properly titled "Don't Shut Up Dax" with 9+ bands playing through out the afternoon/evening.

This Shit's Rigged is the song!  The revenge song against the talent show judges.
It was honestly bs.  We wrote our own song.  Had a full horn section.  Did a decent job, objectively, and lost every single night.  3rd place once?  no.  I'm not holding a grudge.  Shut up.
