It's not often we have a Mix of the Day on a weekend, but when we do they really are something special! German DJ/producer Matthias Meyer proves just that today, offering up an hour of smooth house and techno blends.

Now a staple of Hamburg label Liebe*Detail, Meyer saw his debut release through the label back in 2006. Since then, he's developed a much-loved signature style, building up a long list of requests for original tracks and remixes.

On October 4th, Meyer will show off his skills behind the wheels of steel, as new London promoters We Concur team up with Secret Garden Party's Temple of Boom hosts Avant Garde, for an night of the very best in underground dance at Corsica Studios. Alongside Meyer, Matthew Dekay, Baikal, Maeve boss The Drifter and We Concur resident Qash will all take to the booth.

For two years, SoundPark has searched, discovered, and carefully curated projects from various cities around the world that are responsible for elevating nightlife culture in their region in a practical way. We have nurtured a culture that celebrates these ideas and more importantly one that embraces the creative minds who put these ideas together to make them a reality. When we first heard Toronto based Nature of Music, there was something about the pace of their music that resonated with us so brilliantly. To get the full effect of deep and melancholic shades of house one must command an acute level of patience to allow the records to 'breathe' in the framework of the set. Strings need to play out, the delays need to ring into the distance, the reverb needs to hug you, the intensity of the music pulses from break down to build up. Nature of Music stylistically are unlike any other and after a few plays become instantly recognizable. Over the next hour, audio story-tellers Nature of Music will mark their SoundPark debut. Raised by a Jazz singer, Mehdi Deyes developed a passion for music at an early age. Ever since he was 16 years, Mehdi has been a frequent visitor of all kinds of electronic dance events all over the world. Especially his trips to Belgium have been of great influence on his unique sound as a deejay. 

His sound is characterized by his personal approach to tech-house, techno, tribal, progressive, electro, minimal and even trance. Warm, deep, raw but also melodic. House music with balls, as he describes it himself.
