وقتی که بود...when k was

This piece is an evocation of Purcell, the master of English Baroque. I borrow the title from one of his major vocal works, 'O Solitude'. It is also an opportunity for me to use the harpsichord, an instrument I rarely play. But here, it serves as the source of inspiration for this piece, solemn and ultimately quite romantic (anachronism in music is also an interesting path to explore). Thank you for listening.

Ce titre est une évocation de Purcell, maître du baroque anglais. J'emprunte le titre à l'une de ses oeuvres vocales maîtresses "Ô Solitude". C'est aussi pour moi l'occasion d'utiliser le clavecin, un instrument que j'utilise très rarement. Mais ici, c'est lui qui est à la source d'inspiration de ce titre, solennel et finalement assez romantique (l'anachronisme en musique est aussi une piste intéressante à creuser). Esta pieza es una evocación de Purcell, el maestro del barroco inglés. Tomo el título de una de sus principales obras vocales, 'O Solitude'. También es una oportunidad para mí de utilizar el clavecín, un instrumento que toco muy raramente. Pero aquí, es la fuente de inspiración para esta pieza, solemne y, en última instancia, bastante romántica (el anacronismo en la música es también un camino interesante para explorar).
