TRM-LP-038 AnTraxid - When I'm Losing My Mind

The young Russian with the golden touch drops another massive EP on the ever reliable Senso Sounds imprint. Long since lauded by the likes of Dubfire and Richie Hawtin, Maksim Dark returns to Oliver Huntemann's label for a follow up to 2018's exceptional Movement EP. Conti- nuing the theme, Kinetics is a three track EP with every bit as much energy and attitude. The title track bangs hard, wrapped in a slick production sheen that Dark has made his own. Bubbling synths and warped bass are paired with snappy, tight drum programming for a full throttle tech burner. 'Chainsaw' keeps with the vibe, a super low slung onenote bassline meets precision fire drums and edgy, mutating blasts of sounds. 'Believer' is created from a similar sound pattle, deep spacious synths used sparingly and with great effect, while the rhythm twists and turns around tight, punchy drums.

Maksim Dark - Chainsaw

Born in 1977, spreading the disease since 1997.
Former member of ADSR SPQR, Assalti Industriali, Balance, Der Noir, Tekno Mobil Squad. Sound enginner at Subsound Studio.
Past known as Virus Voice, Lou Chano, Lunar Lodge.

"Authentic maverick, or better said, a free beater.
His core values can be summarised in a handfull of key words: experimentation, analog synths, vinyl and love for techno. From South to North,  from raves to clubs, with a constant desire to have fun and grasp the right occasions, his career has become distinct due to its unconformity with the established norms.

As sound engineer, dj, producer and remixer he never turned down an opportunity of adding his personal touch in his and other’s tracks; initiating fruitful collaborations by injecting some of his essence in various projects such as Tekno Mobil Squad, Assalti Industriali, Der Noir and Lunar Lodge. He has been active member of the Italian collective of artists known as LSWHR.
From 1997 to 2005 he's based in Bologna as former of the crew Tekno Mobil Squad.

From 2005 to 2011 he's known as Lou Chano: he joins collaborations with the best italian rappers like Truceklan, Colle Der Fomento, Kaos One, Fabri Fibra, GdB, Duke Montana; making hard beats influenced by horror soundtracks, heavy metal, neofolk and industrial he pushes to the extreme the Italian Rap scene producing in 2008 "Ministero Dell'Inferno". In 2009 plays synths on Ephel Duath LP "Through My Dog's Eyes" released by Earache. In the same year Lamanna appears as producer/beat maker on Cripple Bastard's "Variante Alla Morte" LP.

From 2011 to 2015 plays synthesizers in the new wave trio Der Noir.
In 2014 give birth to Assalti Industriali, duo devoted to dark and raw techno. In 2015 remixes Satronica & Unexist hardcore classic "Fuck The System" on Industrial Strength. In the same year BALANCE  comes to light - a conceptual exhibition based on improvisation through the use of eurorack modular synthesizers formed together with Davide Ricci. In 2016 releases his first solo album "In Vitro" joining collaborations with Saffronkeira & Luca T. Mai from Zu. 2016 is the year of birth of Scuderia, label that soon becomes main reference for underground techno scene in Italy. From 2016 to 2018 he is resident dj at Ex Dogana in Roma. In 2017 following the collaboration with Luca T. Mai releases the album DIVUS, published by Boring Machines.  In the same year plays modular synths parts on Aborym's album "Shifting Negative". 

Together with famous tattoo artist Luca Mamone give birth to ADSR SPQR, a tribute to the 90's hardcore rave scene, releasing tracks and EPs on such labels as Mokum, Kobayashi/Dancefloor Killers, Scuderia and No Pizza Rave.
Together with string virtuoso Roberto Zanisi and Massimo Pupillo (Zu) release the album "Creta" on Karl Records and in March of  2018 year his second solo album "Sottrazione" see the light on Boring Machines.
Lamanna has made dozens of releases on such labels as Scuderia, Kobayashi/Dancefloor Killers, Earache, Industrial Strength, Hard Electronic, Mokum, Lux Rec, MRT, No Pizza Rave, Concrete, Agonia, Boring Machines, Karl Records, Dead Seed, Atlantic, Universal and Subsound Records above all. He has been remixed by Unit Moebius, Paul Birken, Al Ferox, Positive Centre, The Twins Artcore, Formek. His strength thus lies in the puzzle of sounds which is the fruit of the most desperate of experiences from techno, punk, industrial, wave and electronic - all of which are knowledgeably tessellated through the art of improvisation."
