The alchemy of feelings has always been of great interest to me. In my attempts to process my own grief and existentialism, music has given sonic shape to the otherwise intangible. There is true catharsis in building a beautiful something out of ruins. 

I was raised in the Diablo mountain range of the so called California Bay Area, in an isolated town dedicated entirely to astronomical research. I come from many generations of musicians; including my mother who has sung and played guitar for most of her 75 years, and my grandmother who played a mean double bass. 

I’ve recently returned to live in California for the first time in about 13 years. I spent slivers of life in Brazil and India before finding real roots in Cambodia and staying for nearly 8 years, then found my way to Budapest and Prague. I follow the same principles in my search for home that I do in songwriting, allowing myself to be lured by my feelings. 

I’m a self taught multi-instrumentalist, what I lack in classical education I try and make up for with in my finger picking style and mostly, my lyrics. I learn and take inspiration from everything around me -the seasons, the birdsong, the relationships, the magic in the mundane.
