We’ve got a big one this week - Mean-E is in the building! The young DJ and producer is one of the hottest talents in the electro/breakbeat scene at the moment. 

He’s currently working 2 EP’s, but has had releases on labels such as Lobster Theremin, Crazed Behaviour & Gimme A Break just to name a few, with more coming out on different VA’s over the next few weeks.

The Mélange Collective #31 - Mean-E

There’s a brand new label in town - Brick Sweat Records - and they aren’t here to mess about. Kicking off their releases with a bang, ‘The Foundation’ provides 20 tracks, from 20 stellar, international artists. Oh, and all the proceeds will go to charity…It’s a no brainer.

This track from Eyesight is a hot UKG take on the classic by AJ Tracey - one that will definitely get you two-steppin’.

Moose is a 23 year old aspiring DJ/Producer that’s been mixing for about 3 years & producing for 2(ish).
In the past few years, he has had the chance to play various events, pattern guest mixes for many online platforms in the space & more recently picked up monthly radio residences with Mode London & Voices Radio.

He is currently in the works with patterning his first official release 🤫, and a couple of other collaborative tracks in the mixer.

For our last mix before Christmas we have @harryoscillate.

This young DJ/Producer from Southampton has supported a number of various artists across the south coast and Bristol, from @djjasperjames and @tech-supportuk, to @rogersanchez and @denissulta. 
He is also a resident at South Coast Disco and the house brand, @astrofunkmusic , down in So’ton.

The 22 year old has produced a number of stellar house tracks and edits that have been supported by such people as @danshakemusic, @alexvirgo, and @elliotadamson. So after you have listened to this, make sure you go check out his stuff!

@falsepersonaa is a 19 year old DJ & Producer living in Bournemouth, UK. He is a resident DJ for @GoatShed and @greenhouse0, recently supporting for the likes of 1-800 GIRLS. 

His latest track 'Marvin' was released on Misplaced Recordings, and is being supported by the likes of J Wax and Matheson.

This guy has got a bright future ahead of him, and is definitely one to keep on your radar.

We’re back again with a new mix and this weeks’ is brought to your ears by @jahmed27.

Before lockdown, the @flat_earth_disco boss was popping up around the UK and further afield with billings at some of the UK’s most iconic clubs (EGG, Fabric, Tramshed, The Vaults, Bussey Building, The Cause, Beaver Works, Constellations) and snuck in a rogue booking on a remote beach in Panama. 

Residencies with Good Life, Face to Face, and Midnight People have seen him support top names in the scene such as Romare, Dan Shake, Crazy P, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Laurence Guy & O'Flynn. 

“With this mix I was really envisioning a sunny terrace / day party atmosphere. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I played out in previous summers and what I would have played out this summer under normal circumstances. I’ve included some of my all time favourites as well as some new-found gold. 

Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording! Hope to see you on a real dancefloor sooner rather than later!

Damián Hernán Ensabella, AKA Hyperdam, is an Argentinian DJ and Producer based in Buenos Aires who has almost 15 years of DJing experience under his belt.

In electronic music, he leaned towards the House sound, Chicago & Detroit which is what most represents him with influences from Funk, disco, boogie, jazz, hip hop and In 2017, he decided to form a DJS collective called ON THE REG (@onthereg_music), 100% oriented to the House, Funk & Disco with his friends.

The Mélange Collective #28 - BLACKJACK

Our first mix of 2021, and it's from Djo-Safe K, a DJ and producer based in Florence (Italy). 

He has grown up listening to stoner and psychedelic rock. Then he's crashed on J. Brown moves and that's how he got into funk. And so, one day, he's lost himself in a Dewaele Brothers DJ set, and that's pretty much why he started loving electronic waves. His sound goes from a fat Funk Break groove, to a NuDisco style, with sugar on top.

Mark Hanson is a Dj and Producer from North Wales, who has been spinning for around 4 years. He is an avid collector of vinyl and primarily loves everything within and around the original deep house / garage house genres - in this fully vinyl mix, he spins some laid back and shuffly grooves with deep and soulful elements . Mark currently runs an event/brand in the north west called FM 102.3 (@fm1023), who have done multiple collaborations with the fellow North Wales label, Andras Records (@303_002).
