Holland’s HEY! Records is on a roll, following up the hugely well received Michel de Hey EP earlier this year with a new release featuring music from the label boss & associates. Those associates are Italian maestros Richard Cleber and Enzo Tucci who collaborate with Michel on the opening track and new boy Chris Stussy who seals the deal with a standout remix.

Inspired by Michel’s DJ sets and hearing him play some of their tracks, this Italian pair asked if Michel was interested in working on a project together. A track then went back and forth and the final result is the excellent ‘Point of No Return’ heard here. Another track Michel, Richard and Enzo made will be released later via Crash Records in Italy.

The top ‘Point of No Return’ track itself is a big and bouncy house cut with airy drums and fulsome hits demanding you get up and dance. Smeared synths bring some soul, wordless vocals add that key human element and the whole thing brims and bristles with feel-good vibes.

Also on the EP is a fantastic remix by hot new production talent, Chris Stussy. This guy is taking big steps into the world of house with releases on labels like Large and Nite Grooves to name a few. Later this year his remix for Marco Farina is also coming out on this label, but first this banging take on ‘Basic Eggs’ makes a real impact. It has a fresh US house groove and thumping kicks that drive it along, while a loose, elastic bass line really brings the funk.

This is a buoyant house package that really will bring a fresh house party feel to any DJ set and marks another high point for the always excellent HEY! Records.

Having earned himself the status as one of Madrid’s hottest techno-exports, Regal is back on Figure with a special EP comprising both new works from him plus two creative re-interpretations by none other than Radio Slave.

Original and remix rub shoulders on the record’s A-side, both revolving around its enticing vocal hook. While Regal employs a skipping beat and skittish percussion to conjure up an air of mystery, Radioslave crawls down further the rabbit’s hole and uncovers the track’s slumbering lunatic qualities.

On the flipside Regal is back in full control, albeit this time operating in a framework a tad more housy than usual: snappy snares slice up the bubbling acid-line on the fast whirling while it’s eponymus vocal sample ironically asks ‘Did you see it?’. Equally aptly-titled Slab barges right in, wielding hefty drums and a bassline that oozes groove out of every loop.

As part of the digital release, the EP comes with another atmospheric Radioslave-rework of From Other Sounds, leaning on the ambient and heavy on the subs - one for the headz!

Hot Creations are launching a new ‘Paradise on Earth’ DJ Mix series with the first instalment coming as a Mexico special from Paradise residents and label regulars Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Each mix is expertly crafted, fusing musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favourites for your listening pleasure.

The first CD comes from Toronto-based DJ & producer Nathan Barato, an artist that has been on the rapid rise with releases on Cajual, MOOD, Relief, Saved, Circus Records, Defected and of course Hot Creations. Barato’s mix kickstarts with the sonorous opening of Derrick Carter’s ‘Where You at?’ soon venturing into big dancefloor movers like Moritz Piske ‘Dirt Cabana’ and Makam’s ‘Loletta’. Nathan explains, "This is the first compilation I've done, so I was nervous and excited when building the tracklist. I wasn't inclined to make a mix that was only bombs ...I wanted to express myself and show a different side of my sound.”

UK talent Patrick Topping has cemented his status as one of the most in demand names in dance music and this year completing his third summer as resident at DC10 in Ibiza for Paradise. Here Patrick showcases the sound and style of his sets with hi-energy from the word go. “This was my first time putting together a licensed mix and it was such a fun project. Most the tracks are older but I was also luckily enough to include some of my favourite unreleased tracks of the moment. Thanks to Oli Furness, Jack N Jerk, Sean Miller & Elliot Adamson for letting me use these. There are also 3 brand new productions of mine in here.” - Patrick Topping

Burgeoning DJ and producer Bontan makes his debut on the notorious Hot Creations label. Hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile.

UK based Bontan has been using title track The First Time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. “I’ve been testing it and tweaking it play by play!’ he explains. ‘The vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge”. This a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. Personal Question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours.

A firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on Circus Recordings, 20/20 Vision, and Cajual among others.

Next  up  is Paradise  Lost;  This  is  more  of  a  driving affair with a house twist. Expect to hear this one on repeat across dancefloors this summer. Matthew Dear lands on Hot Creations under his Audion moniker. The electrifying Starfucker is remixed by house music veteran Ian Pooley and the notorious young NYC duo The Martinez Brothers.

In true Audion style, Starfucker takes a series of unexpected turns and the groove propelled track is made to shake up big rooms. ELEVATE – a label started by one of the best loved techno duos of the moment Pig&Dan, focuses on releasing music to make the listener feel just that – ‘elevated’.
