Original song from my last band who at the time I was calling the Fortuante Unknowns. Song was written by the wonderful William Banks who is also the one singing the male lead and playing guitar. I am on vocals and piano for this. Obviously another in studio rehearsal track as we were working on it, but still a fun song to work on none the less.

"Days Grow Cold"

Original song written by the wonderful Jay Spencer. Has that sort of classic rock feel which I loved about it. This was one of the first rough rehearsals we had when we were working the song. We added electric guitar and bass during this rehearsal before we later added the full band with percussion.

Time of Our Lives

A short cut of the Beatles' "Oh, Darlin" A Capella. It was used for an audition that asked for A Capella submissions. I added my own taste to the song to fit and showcase my voice. One of my favorite songs to perform live whenever I've gotten the chance.

Told You So

This was a studio demo track for a new musical written by John Becker called "Everything I Do."  I sing female vocals on this track and played the lead of Ann in the workshop production at the Kennedy Center, DC Page to Stage.

The Devil Made Me Do It

29 Year old Singer, Actress, Pianist, Writer. Been Singing since I can remember as well as acting. Music and the ability to perform is the air I breathe and what keeps me going in life.  I hope to one day call this my full time profession. 

Originally from Washington D.C., Melanie grew up inspired by the arts day in and day out. In the 4th grade she started taking Piano lessons which went on for about 12 years.  From there she has learned to just go to a Piano and play what comes to mind and start writing things down.  She started writing lyrics to songs as early as the 5th grade.  Throughout her life until now she has performed in over 20 theatrical productions, professional and Non-professional, musicals and plays, All around D.C., Maryland, Virginia and NYC.  Recently she has also dabbled in film and hopes to do more. She has been in a couple of bands over the years but nothing has remained solid enough for her to record a full album. She is hoping her new journey to Nashville will change all that.  

Last January she made the big step to move out of her comfort zone to Music City. One, to get a second degree, a Bachelors in Music Business from Belmont University and two, to live the dream of a performer, either theatrically or musically.  It is hard to pin point an exact artist to compare herself too since she has sung many different types of music. She has been in a band that resembled that of Evanescence and Nightwish, but I has also been in a more alternative/classic rock band where I sang stuff like CCR, Pat Benatar, Radiohead covers and original stuff. She can sing anything from AC/DC, Journey, Aerosmith, Meatloaf (the duets mostly) to Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Regina Spektor, Janis Joplin and more.   She has too many inspirations and favorite bands to list as she is constantly being inspired by new artists everyday.  

Other than the music and performing side she is a down to earth, fun loving, passionate girl who just loves to live life to the fullest.  She loves the outdoors, going camping, going on adventures, road trips, going to the movies, the beach, roller coasters, Karaoke, geeking out (comic books, fandoms, cosplay), dancing and more.
