We are delighted to welcome, for the 40th episode of our podcast series, the talented Italian trio producers and live act: The Alchemical Theory.

They created this live recording especially for us, mixing some bright and atmospheric Ambient vibes with some hypnotic Techno.
This is such a beautiful musical journey and we feel very honoured to present it to you today and release it on our channel - thank you so much for your amazing work!

A project born in 2018 from the creative union of three Italian producers: Kill Acid on Space, Unclear, and Øyvind.

Nico Bianco aka Kill Acid on Space: Born in Bari (Italy) he started as a young man to experiment new sounds to use in his productions and in his live sets. His style is dominated by techno sounds with electronic and ambient contrasts. In 2020 he started his own record label Different Exhibition.

Paolo Bianco aka Unclear: Dj, producer, and label owner based in Bari. His style is deeply inspired by the fervour for techno and all his hypnotic facets. In 2018 he started his own record label called Cultural Corner.

Pietro Bianco aka Øyvind: Producer and label owner based in Bari. His style is characterized by complex modular sounds and ambient textures that characterize unique details in each production. In 2015 he became co-owner of Subosc Records helping to put out very huge releases.

The identity of the project was strongly influenced by the great artistic affinity and the favorite sounds of the three producers, ranging from modular electronic sounds to much more atmospheric sounds, which are merging with the love for mysticism, alchemy, art, and nature. In each production, they want to represent something unique that influences the listener’s mind, reproducing a real mental journey.

The Italian trio’s debut production was a CD album, in September 2018 for the Spanish label Annulled Music. Over the last years they have released their music for various important labels such as Absolute Records, Illegal Alien Records, Affin, Northallsen Records, End Of Perception, Norite, Lett Record, Subosc Records, No Way Records, UTCH Records, Ritualism, NFEREE, Circular Limited, Oslated, Crescent London, NODE Records, PhonoTropismi, and BAHN· Records.

The strong point of the Italian trio is the live set. Over time they have designed different types of live sets, ranging from an ambient texture to a much more techno imprint, to be used according to the contexts in which we find ourselves.

It's a hot week, starting with this gift from The Alchemical Theory, who we will be also hosting next Sunday at Berlin bar Sohnemann. If you're around it should be worth a stop. The Italian trio together with the staff of The Ambient Collective and our resident and co-founder Mattia Onori will take care of selecting music for a chilling afternoon.
The live set number 14, designed and conceived for Melantónia, was born with the idea of letting the listener enter a parallel world, where our sounds become those who listen to them, so as to turn into real emotions. The search for sound is fundamental for us and in this project we have worked hard to try to give the listener a unique and real mental journey.

Our next artist is an amazing artist from south of France, Like the Inuit people, he composes music to tell his environment, from his perspective: a landscape, a wind, an animal. he gradually shapes a personal style, mixing organic rhythms and atmospheric textures, between poetry and intensity. His work has been featured on hadal-resonance, @oslated and is the co-founder of @melifera_records. His most recent EP on his label included fantastic remixes by @eyvind-blix and @forestonstasys. For this mix he curates a skillfully blended array of deep techno, eclectic downtempo and blissful electronica. Leandro Rossi is a Brazilian artist based in Barcelona since 2012, started ASH (Vinyl Only) Project in 2017, is known by his own music style (Acid Space Hypnotic). He been spinning on the most important techno parties in town, as BAHN·, Techno In The Forest, HEX, Rezonanz, NODE, Selectors, Insert and had a recent gig at KHIDI in Tbilisi - Georgia.

Resident at BAHN· since January 2019, focused on music production, playing with some different setups as full analog live set, analog hybrid set, vinyl only set and 3 CDJ decks. Mixing and mastering engineering on BAHN· Records Studio and Artistic Director alongside STNDRD on BAHN· Records, vinyl and digital record label since beginning 2020.

Extracorporeal XX - ASH

As a regular on Michael Mayer’s prolific label, Kompakt, Joachim Spieth has (true to the label’s vision) released a steady stream of emotive house and techno over the past fifteen years. Launching his own label, Affin, in 2008, Spieth has since become a curator and selector for his own specific brand of dark and melodic sounds.

In the meantime, we’re pleased here at Monument to present to you a spiraling wormhole through Spieth’s headspace. Enjoy an hour of his finest.

After a couple of remarkable podcasts by veteran techno stalwarts, Episode 36 comes from young and talented producer, DEEPBASS. His name fittingly represents the essence and rhythm of this 1-hour techno hecatomb and includes a stellar tracklist with brand new material, as he says: <i>“from myself, my friends, and some artists I'm loving at the moment, and some older stuff for good measure, a good example of the kind of stuff I play in my live shows.”</i>
 
Darren has been busy in the studio, recently releasing the Analysis EP on Aconito Records (which is superb and in this mix) along with another EP on his own label, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/InformaRecords">Informa Records</a> (INFORMA006), with an original track by his friend Hironori Takahashi, a remix by Deepbass, and a still-undisclosed guest remixer. Also due on Informa will be a yet-to-be-announced Deepbass collaborative project. In addition, Darren has remixes coming out for Bleak on the new Glasgow-based label, Animal Farm Records, as well as for Lui Urbano on Ketra Records. And he is finalizing, as we speak, the 3rd Deepbass & Ness collaboration.
