After years of producing music together, Owen Jay and Melchior Sultana finally present a full length album. This album sums up their love and knowledge for deep house music by delivering a blend of originality, shifting away from the usual grooves that one might expect to find on a deep house album.
Starting off with a funky groover titled The Mystery About You, the 11 tracks create a unique journey. Tracks such as A Mild Winter, Jackin and My Mind which will surely tear up a dance floor when dropped at the right time. Moreover, it explores deeper waters, with tracks such as The Seeker, Cosmic and Without You which will be appreciated by those who read between the lines.
Atmospheric pads, evolving rhythms, dubby chords, portamento sounds and modular experiments all come together to form this interesting and fresh album - Dream Landscape.

In the late 90”, he installed a gigantic Olivetti server in the carisbo bank caveau in Bologna’s main square undergrounds, a labyrinth of catacombs, bomb shelters and underground waterways.
Down there he found a dusty mpc 2000xl in an abandoned occupied room, probably an italo disco studio once belonged to Gaznevada, Confusional quartet or Datura? …. Hard to tell.
Randomly pushing a button after one other PETRONIO was born.
A complete music noob with some pretty good dancer’s legs, party after party, club after club, Petronio’s spontaneous house sensibil-ity started to take shape, a fine line between Detroit and the rivi-era.
That cash register became many nights best buddy, burning recording session, kilometers of tape and liters of vodka.
No one is a prophet in his own country, Chicago’s Jordan Fields signs two decades of productions but releases only “the Rainbow” on his Oldschool Grooves Records & tapes.

Now, 20 years later Petronio debut’s album will be released on Flexi Cuts Family.

Based in Malta, Owen Jay has been involved with the music scene since the early 90's and he has been pivotal towards the development of the deep and underground scene. As a Dj, his style is eclectic depending on his mood and situation. His selection is always a combination of old and recent releases, as can be heard on this mix for us.

Owen runs the label Batti Batti and is also part of the label and alias Gauss. In 2021, together with Melchior Sultana, he released an album titled "Dream Landscape". You can listen to it in the following link battibatti.bandcamp.com/album/dream-landscape-2

Jay has released music on numerous labels including DeepArtSounds, Moods & Grooves, Housewax, Metrolux, Deep Explorer, ContrastWax, Hizou, Verdant, Ornate, Minuendo, Profound Sound and Deeper Shades Of House (DSOH) to name a few.

In Malta, Owen has been fundamental towards the development of the underground scene and it has always been his mission and passion to steer away from commercialism. Throughout these years Owen has performed at numerous bars, clubs and festivals, both locally and overseas.

TLM033 introduces a new series to Ten Lovers Music, The Coin EP's all with one track either side of a 12". On the A side we have Cumulative Collective with Suede Bear. Musicians involved in this ever growing project are Roderick Stewart on Bass, Stefano De Santis on Keys, Takashi Nakazato on Percussion, Luke Radford on Sopranino Saxophone and Ayumi Suzuki on Vibraphone. Using musicians from the United Kingdom, Japan and Italy this has a truly international feel to it. The track was produced, arranged and programmed by Steve Conry who also mixed the track along with Stefano De Santis.

Onto side AA and we have Re:Fill with their track Live Vibe. As the name suggests the track was recorded live in Rome, Italy in one take. Re:Fill are Gaetano De Carli on Drums and Stefano De Santis on Keys and they have previously released on Italy's Cognitiva Records.

As always Jose Rico takes care of mastering duties keeping that TLM sound.

A Life dedicated to music. Beautifully talented Melchior Sultana, Born in Malta, Is a composer and multi instrumentalist. Growing up in an atmosphere of rich traditions, culture and arts in the middle of the Mediterranean can deeply sculpt a spirit. Melchior Sultana represents music as an art with no boundaries.

Everything started by understanding the various forms of sound. This interest in "sounds" gradually led to experience, study, knowledge and to an ongoing evolution of an artist. His experiences and knowledge through out his musical career led to the believe that music is a form of art that needs to remain pure. this means that music and art in general should reflect one's true inner voice and artistic execution and not be infected by non-artistic entities. This philosophy was carried out and is being practiced through out his music.

As a multi instrumentalist playing Guitar, Piano and Bass, Melchior Sultana is involved in various projects from classical to contemporary to Live band and electronic music productions. Melchior Sultana performed live at some of the most prestigious places from Cafe Del Mar in Malta to Panorama Bar, Berghain, IPSE in Berlin, Tresor and Rex Club Paris. Previous works show the wide musical vocabulary of this artist and his open mentality approach to music.
