Mainz duo Teenage Mutants explore the dark side of melodic techno in their Running EP, with Bulgarian tech house patron Metodi Hristov as guest remixer.

A power packed anthem, Rising uses an undulating bassline to map out rhythmic patterns, while looming synths add a raw feel to the overarching melody.

Title track Running unveils an arpeggio-heavy construction, as drum sequences build up an abstract melody, in a nervous rhythm that moves through a cavernous space brimming with sonic flares and distant synth echoes.

Metodi Hristov rewires Running, administering a dose of rolling, groove-driven electro to this unapologetically compelling slice of techno. The artist operates frenzied percussion and irregular synth layers that all come together in unison for repeated, slow burning yet effective breakdowns.

Born in Barcelona in 1974, with music in his DNA. Soon he bought his turntables and started working in several clubs.

In 1998 he decided to run his own club, the "Liquid Sky", where he obtained Musical influences from multiple artists. After this experience, he played in clubs and halls such as "Concuerda, Deluxe, Happy, Garden, Teatre", and some of the most popular clubs in Spain.

After that, he worked on some personal projects in 2011 and took residency in cities such as Bologna, Girona, Tarragona and Ibiza, working and learning from music professionals who nowadays are very recognized. Marked and defined style made him sign some of his songs very quickly with Synthetics Records, Underground Family, Ibiza Music and even, in this last one he even occupied a relevant position for several years. During this period, he was always surrounded by artists and he collaborated in many projects and studies of new technologies which applied to leisure and entertainment, set designers, designers, painters, sculptors, producers and musicians. Examples of the variety and watersheds for which he showed and shows interest. He received  good reviews and positive comments in his work, collaborations, projects and evening shows.
He is currently immersed and working on collaborations and projects that we hope will soon come to light.
