Landing just weeks after his debut on Catz 'n Dogz label, the young UK talent whips us into another euphoric frenzy with a fission of Italo, house and electro. Galvanised with positive energy, a big bassline and sweeping chords, 'Insert The Chemical' is an honest snapshot of where the dancefloor is at right now and what the ravers are craving: total, unashamed feel-good vibes.

Hot on the heels of other big tracks like 'Make It' and 'Take Me Up', 'Insert The Chemical' is the latest in exciting slew of singles from the Birmingham producer and comes complete with two versions; the synth heavy original and more tribally minded Complete Insertion mix. Both carrying those walloping synths, that dreamy chord sequence and yearning vocal, like all the best chemistry - these are going to cause some big reactions.

Dino Lenny returns to Crosstown Rebels with his latest single ‘I’ve Learned That’, accompanied by remixes  from Shadow Child and Jonathan Kaspar - plus his own take with Fed Conti. 

A regular on labels including Afterlife, Ellum, Innervisions, and Diynamic, London-based Italian-born DJ/producer  and Fine Human Records boss Dino Lenny’s solo and collaborative catalogue continues to grow as he features as  one of the most consistent names within the worlds of house and techno. Having released his first EP on the label  in 2019, he now returns to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels for a second outing with the release of his  touching new single ‘I’ve Learned That’ - which is one of a collection of records dedicated to his daughter - with  remixes from Shadow Child, Jonathan Kaspar, and his own interpretation alongside Fed Conti. 

“My daughter Victoria is seven years old. Since she was born, I always felt I had to make sure she knew  about me straight away. You never know how much time you have. At first, I was going to write a diary  with all my thoughts and stuff like that. But if she’s a little bit like me, she’d probably pick up the book a  few times and leave it there. So I decided to transform my thoughts for her into songs. ‘I’ve Learned That’  is one of those.” - Dino Lenny. 

Shaped by emotive piano keys, blooming strings and refined drums, ‘I’ve Learned’ showcases a rich and  heartwarming production taking cues from dance music and beyond as the track’s uplifting and inspiring vocals  carry the production across nine minutes of delight. 

Beginning the transition towards more traditional electronic spheres, his remix alongside Fed Conti utilises vibrant  guitar licks and a luminous bassline to head into a late-night discovery of disco influences. Next, Shadow Child’s  ‘Classic Mix’ is a skippy house gem as bumping low-ends work amongst hazy chords, with Jonathan Kaspar’s  remix moving deeper via surging synths for a hypnotic and thrilling ride to close.

Oliver Dollar debuts on Rekids with disco-fuelled three tracker, ‘Strings for Life’ EP. 

Initially appearing on Rekids as a remixer in 2012, Berlin-based Oliver Dollar returns to Radio Slave’s imprint with the Spring-time funk of his ‘Strings for Life’ EP this April. 

The rich, stiring strings of the title track open ‘Strings for Life’ with real soul. Warm, euphoric and built atop a rocksteady discoid groove, it’s a track that’s familiar, new and classic all at the same time. ‘School Daze’ follows with rhythmic shakers, funk-infused chopped guitar and bass licks while nifty vocal samples and cosseting chords provide the hooks. Closing out is ‘Sophisticated Funk’ which sees Dollar double down on the disco with an epic, emotive beatdown. 

With releases from Radio Slave, Eddie Fowlkes, Cromby, Dave Angel, Star B and Alinka on Rekids in recent months, Matt Edward’s imprint is as fresh as ever and Oliver Dollar’s ‘Strings of Life’ EP joins the catalog in fine style.

Samantha Loveridge & Treetalk join forces for a cover of the R.E.M. classic, 'Losing My Religion'.

Samantha Loveridge is a woman of many talents with a deep passion for all things music. She has a tasteful sound that draws on deep, afro and melodic influences and has played at iconic venues such as Space Ibiza and Sankeys Manchester. Residing in Sydney, her productions earn her a regular place in the Beatport Charts and receive playtime from the likes of Black Coffee, Jimi Jules and Rüfüs Du Sol. Here she works with Black Hole Recordings associate Treetalk on a characterful new single.

The superb 'Losing My Religion' is a deep and steamy house cut with well-defined drum grooves and melancholic pads that bring a new perspective to this classic song. The vocal is an iconic one that takes on a different feel as it unfolds over the rueful grooves.

This marks a fine label debut for this collaborative pair.
