I got the idea for this piece from Taliesin Jaffe's character Mollymauk on Critical Role, a carnie with a shameless love for life. There's something relentlessly romantic about traveling entertainers, passing from town to town, leaving behind memories and empty popcorn buckets. Anyhow, it's an image that got me itching to write. Here's to you, Molly -- and long may you reign.
