What to say about this one? 
1) It was inspired by my pulling up a bunch of old artwork from my old, defunct art business, as part of a presentation I’m putting together. I was struck by what a body of work I created way back when. Something I wasn’t able to appreciate in the same way at the time, because I was insanely self-critical, and because I was always onto the next thing.

2) I had a choking/coughing attack in the middle of recording this, but decided to just keep going. You’ll hear my cough as part of one of the loops. That’s life when you improvise and record live!

I’m preparing for a presentation/workshop next week, which incorporates an original song on my ukulele. It’s something I’ve done before (albeit in-person, and next week will be on Zoom), but it’s been so long since I’ve played the song that I had to find the sheet music and relearn the darn chords!

I recently learned that the kneading that cats do, colloquially referred to as “making biscuits” in the US, is called “teddy bear stomping” in Russian. 

This is such a darned cute idiom, I now use it every day. 

And I had to include a teddy bear in the cover art doodle. 😄🧸

Pure improvisational play. This one would have been longer, but once again I had one of those dreaded tickles in my throat! 😂 I’m lucky I was able to keep from coughing before the sound faded out! 😂

Getting back to looping after a break of a few months. I pulled out my long-neglected viola to make some sounds, and used that as the start of this track.

I wondered what would happen if I started from a simple Jazz turnaround on my ukulele..? That was the start of this improvisational loop track. From there it went where it went!
