Impressive Rooftop Spring Dawn Chorus - Alentejo

Cervus elaphus hispanicus refers to the red deer of Portugal and Spain. It's slightly smaller than those across the Pyrenees.
The rutting season (referred to as 'brama' in Portugal) starts mid-August and goes until the end of September. 
The recording was in an area in interior Alentejo where wild boars and white-tailed deer live in big numbers and all can be heard throughout this segment.

Frogs in the first weeks of activity of the year. It was the warmest night so far, unusually high and although I went to the lake's edge, they were so loud that they could be heard from a long distance. This is also a place to see and hear herons and sometime storks, but this night it was all for the frogs.
I was testing out a Zoom F3 for the second time.

Stepping in to the Sigišoara train was a surprise. So much beauty heard about this little town made this experience a surprise. With frequent trains arriving and departing, the structures look rusty, forgotten since decades, the passing underground tunnels are at least obscure. Nonetheless the jingle for the train announcement sounds like Christmas. One can hear not only the station activity but also surrounding neighbourhoods on a distant.

Black Bird (Turdus Merula) Alarm Call - Stockholm

Beginning of spring, an iron cage with a mix of seeds attracts several birds into it. Two omni-directional microphones tied around the tree trunk capture the incredible wing movement so close that in person it might be nearly impossible to experience.

The neotropical bellbird (araponga)is not so commonly found. When it is heard it probably means the environment is still somewhat balanced. Its singing it's very sharp and metallic-
