The Floor To Floor compilation on Dusky’s 17 Steps label compiles 12 tracks that approach the modern house and techno aesthetic with a UK edge.

Following his recent ‘Deep Soul’ release on Dext, Mella Dee brings his distinctive, rave-inspired blend of house and techno to Dusky’s 17 Steps label with ‘Take Control’.

Part of the ‘Floor To Floor' compilation featuring Dusky, Trevino, Lo Shea among others, Mella Dee’s ’Take Control’  blends raw bass grooves, techno percussion with a catchy, Hacienda-nodding piano loop.

Growing up in South Yorkshire, Mella Dee’s early musical influences originated from the sounds coming out of warehouses in and around his stomping ground. This soon developed into a love of the burgeoning scene and audio palette from warehouse parties worldwide; hardcore, house, bleeps, techno and everything in between. With a respectful nod to the impact this had on him, Aitchison strives to create his own take on warehouse music with his new project.
