'Various Assets - Not For Sale 2013' is a collection of some of the music that was made during the Red Bull Music Academy during four early summer weeks in New York City last year. The double CD contains 30 tracks composed, improvised and discovered by the 62 international participants and a cast of high-profile studio team members, who all got their fingers dirty on synths, Mellotrons, vibraphones, drum machines and anything else they could lay their hands on. Enjoy!

Known as Los Angeles' "Ambassador of Boogie Funk," Damon Riddick represents the citizens of the Funkmosphere to the fullest. Anyone who grooves to the likes of Slave, Aurra, early Prince and Prelude Records, will knoe what to do when they hear "No More Love."

"Work Ethic Mixtape"として知られていたこの作品は、完成されてる曲もあれば完成されてないレアなラフ音源まで、2006年以前にJoe StylesがBudamunkやDibiaseの家などでレコーディングでしてきた音源集である。
ほとんどがJoe Styles本人のビートのものだが、Budamunk, Dibiase, N/A, Laidlaw, Emphasisなどもプロダクションで参加している。10年前の作品"Melodical era"にも参加していた従兄弟のSoulやOYGやChali 2naの弟のLaidlawなども率いる自信のクルーSoul JugglerzのMCたちなどが参加している。
Joe StylesはロスアンゼルスのMCで10代の半ば頃からLailawなどと活動をはじめ、2002年にソロアルバム"Melodical Era"をリリース。後にKeentokers, Soul Jugglerzとして活動を始める。2009年にBudamunkと2004年頃に録ったアルバム"Budastyles Classics"をJazzy Sportからリリース。Green Butterのアルバム"Get Mad Relax"にも参加している。

These recordings on this particular project were once known as the "Work Ethic Mixtape". These songs, mostly Joe Style productions, and a few bangers from Budamunk, Dibiase, N/A, Laid Law, and Emphasis, some complete, some incomplete, and a few left alone-were constructed @budamunk's fonk house, Dibiase's Lab, and at the Soul Jugglerz Dusty Dungeon. They were gathered from numerous studio sessions, mostly the year of 2006, with some dating back early as 2003. All the tracks were compiled onto a compact disc and given to Joe Styles Keentoker brethren Budamunk. It was only for friends to listen to, but one day while Budamunk was blowing on some Bomb Tree, he thought it'd be dope for the world to hear.
