This is a remix that I made after hearing about the death of Satoru Iwata, the ex-president of Nintendo of Japan. While he may no longer be with us, his legacy will live on in the many games he has left his imprint on, including - but not limited to - Balloon Fight, Super Smash Bros. and Kirby's Adventure.
While I may not have had as active an interest in Mr. Iwata as some others may have, I will surely miss him like all of us will. Let us take this opportunity to commemorate and celebrate everything he has done.

Out of the blue, a melody just popped into my head, and I thought it sounded just like a Pokémon song. I started working on it, and then I suddenly added a key change and all hell broke loose.

Yes, I know it's technically late. I know. I still needed to celebrate my favorite composer's birthday in some way.

A remix I had around for a while; I decided this was the perfect time to upload this.

With this, I intended to make a nearly 100% accurate recreation of the original song that gives it a more modern, high-quality coat of fresh paint - I think I succeeded. I hope you do, too!

"One of the first songs in the album, I really wanted to ensure that listeners would have an excellent and unforgettable first impression.
I tried to aim for perfection, leading me to re-mix the song several times - and this is my eleventh take on this song, mind - and constantly add, remove and change lots of things until I was more or less perfectly satisfied with my results. Was it worth it? Very much so!

You might notice some rather familiar riffs here and there - it was perfectly intentional. I wanted to homage the famous musicians of yesteryear, and demonstrate in an audible way that I knew them, and I've studied them.
That they have been my influences, and I will try my very best to succeed them.

Whether I achieve that or not... Is up to you."

I started humming this while playing Sonic Colors - I knew I could work on it a little to get something creative, and I immediately went to arrange this!

This is a bit rough, being a quickie I did for the heck of it - if anyone wants to give it their own spin though, I'd be glad to see what you can do with this idea.

I based this remaster off of the full, drum-added version of the song - I've always felt it carried a sense of adventure and excitement, so I decided to try to give off such a feeling. I've also sneaked some secrets in the remix - try listen to the whole thing!

What if Dream Land was taken over by the Mashup Lord? Wouldn't it be fitting if Green Greens itself was victim to a mashup-ification? After all, Haltmann's takeover did result in a partially mechanized Patched Plains theme, and a synthetic Green Greens...
That's what I thought, so here's a little something that explores that hypothetical scenario.
