This process at the heart of music making, Djing and narrating can be seen as both an inspiration for and an effect of this wonderful peace of dreamy, immersive downtempo.

⟣ Farn, one of the Founders of @crepitecollective invites us in gently, wraps us up in soft beats and warm melodies and irresistibly draws us into his journey of emotions, light and dark, joyful and peaceful. The carefully crafted reverie incorporates eletronic pieces as well as intrumental music field recordings and lots of love. It's a prime example of the art of narrative podcast creation; an hommage to cozy winter nights and the transparent air of cold January mornings.

It was mid-January in the witch’s forest, and after the floods came the sudden cold. It was freezing day and night, and the nymph’s pond was covered with ice. And after the first snowstorm since 3 years, the whole forest was covered with an immaculately white carpet of snow. Everything had gone silent.
But the next day, the sun was finally shining and despite the subzero temperatures, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) decided to take a dive in the nymph’s pond. While making as little noise as possible, they broke the ice and waded into the crystal clear water. Despite the cold, the water felt as pleasant and revitalizing as ever.
Meanwhile, Lalita (the Asian nymph) was already preparing a delicate massage oil in her little cauldron using spices from her home country of Sri Lanka.  She had prepared the oil according to an old ayurvedic recipe which had been passed on from nymph to nymph for over 2500 years.
By the time the massage oil was ready and had cooled down to the ideal temperature, the witches had finished their bath and Hekske lied down on her belly on a comfortable soft bed of moss, waiting for what was about to come.
Given the freezing temperatures, Lalita didn’t waste much time and poured the first few drops of the warm ayurvedic oil on the little witch’s legs, after which she gently rubbed the oil into her soft skin, while the sophisticated scent of cinnamon and cardamom spread through the forest.  The massage oil quickly warmed up her feet and legs, until her whole body was glowing while her mind slowly drifted away in a state of deep relaxation. 
Strangely, the air on her skin gradually changed from ice-cold to tropically hot. And the quiet winter forest was suddenly lush and green and bustling with life. The little witch listened to a spellbinding concert of unknown song birds, like the yigüirro and the quetzal. And in the distance she heard the calming sound of the Nauyaca Waterfall. This place felt like a true garden of Eden.
Meanwhile the massage was still going on, deeper and more soothing than ever. While still keeping her eyes closed, Hekske was trying to figure out who was massaging her now. She tuned in to the energy field of the man who was giving her the massage. Never before had she felt so many different layers of energy, each layer deeper and more sophisticated than the previous one. Finally she connected with the purest energy she had ever felt, while her whole body and soul drifted towards complete ecstasy. This massage touched her to the deepest part of her soul …

✔️ What is your musical background?
For me the active electronic music game started at the beginning of 2021, one month after my first deep-felt rave experience. During a party we had in the community I lived in one of my roommates suggested I might try mixing and introduced me into playing a first track. Since then, the light got lit and the fascination for music made me go ahead. After moving to Berlin six months later and meeting my friend @zhart who also had started to play recently, the journey begun and over time I learned more about collecting and mixing sounds. Soon we got to know our love for downtempo and became part of the heart-filling BeYond collective that also influenced my taste in sound and parties. Since about one year I feel home in playing 95 BPM or slower and got to love the playful and wholesome moments  that slowraves can offer as much as the extra space that Downtempo gives to every sound.

✔️ What is a good afterhour for you?
„...after collectively spending a sweet time. especially then after several hours of dancing, fully entering into all layers of sound may feel extra natural. the time seems to get a different quality and creates a space full of easy and joy. i feel this is where a good afterhour can bring you."

✔️ Thoughts about the Set:
This mix originates from a closing set I played in Beate Uwe in Berlin - what I loved during this set was the fact that the people on the floor really seemed to let themselves go deep into the sound. It’s always beautiful when dancers hop onto the slow lane and appreciate the vibe of slow dark baselines and playful melodies. This gig also felt special because the first part was a b2b with iris anahata (released on magicians on duty) which both of us enjoyed a lot. Especially in wild times like the current ones feel to me I highly appreciate moments where some weight gets lifted from our shoulders and music takes us to the current moment.

We all know this moment - you are lying in bed with a loved one and the world stands still.

You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

Cuddle Cast 16 comes from Berlin-based @madmoiselle_myrna, she is part of our friends at @wdlnds and has also played for our social partner @love-foundation back in 2022.

Its a beautiful dreamy journey that she created for us, so grab your special person, get cosy, press play and be ready to let the love birds fly ❤️

Wat ein erste Mal! Wat ein Vibe! Das hätte ich mir so nicht mal erträumen können! Tausend Danke an euch Alle. Ich habe lange hin und her überlegt ob ich das Set Hochlade oder nicht. Aber die Ankündigung „ein Erstes mal“ trifft auf „nichts ist Perfekt“ zügelt den Perfektionismus in mir und lässt mich das Rauschen der Aufnahme und für mich viele andere Dinge in Hintergrund stellen. Abgesehen davon haben echt viele von euch nach der Aufnahme gefragt und ich bin ein Fan von Original Aufnahmen (nachspielen wäre nicht das selbe). So einen erstes Live-Set zu erleben hat mich auf jeden fall sehr motiviert. Ich darf an einigem arbeiten und feilen und werde weiter produzieren! Das wird die nächsten Wochen/Wochen passieren. Voller Freude und irgendwie Surreal würd ich sagen klein Iva jetzt auch als Live-Act am Start zwar in Kinderschuhen, würd ich mal sagen. Aber wachsen müssen wir Alle in neuen Dingen die wir tun. Liebe geht an euch alle Raus. Ich freu mich über Support wenns euch gefällt.

Was ein Auftakt in die Festival Saison... Das zweite Jahr in Folge durfte ich auf dem zauberhaften Elfen-Floor die Besucher:innen des Wurzelfestivals 2024 mit Räucherstäbchen und fetten Beats durch die Nacht begleiten. Und wenn der DJ nach einem nicht rechtzeitig kommt, dann halt statt 2 spontan knapp 3,5 Stunden lang bis in den Sonnenaufgang hinein. Ahouuu! 

Was ein Fest, was ein Spaß! Danke an all die tollen, coolen, lieben, schönen und cuten Menschen, die mit mir gebounced, gelacht, getanzt, gefeiert und in den Sommer geraved sind. You make my heart go ❤️‍🔥

What a start to the festival season... For the second year in a row, I was invited to guide the wonderful crowds of Wurzelfestival 2024 through the night with incense sticks and bouncy beats on the magical elves & fairy floor. And if the DJ after you doesn't show up in time, then instead of 2 more like 3.5 hours into the sunrise. Ahouuu!  

What a party, how much fun! Thanks to all the great, cool, lovely, beautiful and cute people who bounced, laughed, danced, celebrated and raved into the summer with me. You make my heart go ❤️‍🔥
