A week ago I played with my partner in crime DJ Buddy Suwijn (@buddy1966) at the "Zomerliefde" festival by Hartstocht events with so many smiling faces. So many familiar, beloved faces and also many new ones. What an experience. Wow.

Martín Serbali is a progressive DJ and producer from Rosario, Argentina, known for crafting dark, atmospheric sets that balance emotion with energy. Influenced by Guy J and John Digweed, his playing style blends progressive with touches of minimal, deep tech, and deep house, always adapting to the moment.

Since 2021, Martín has released on respected labels such as Mango Alley, Juicebox, Traful, Droid9, One of a Kind, and AH Digital, with support from some of his favorite artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Sahar Z, Simon Vuarambon, Ezequiel Arias, Mariano Mellino and John Cosani to name a few. His music has been played at iconic Argentine venues including Metropolitano, Forja, and Mandarine Park, where standout moments include opening for Mariano Mellino and Ezequiel Arias at Metropolitano. Who's that guy nerding behind a laptop in a French cafe? It might be https://soundcloud.com/gal-tsadok-hai, working on new beats. Since the Dutch producer moved to Montmartre (Paris), he not only shook up his life but also his modus operandi. While enjoying a cafe-au-lait and ignoring the white noise around him, he worked on his new Perot EP.

A new life, a new sound. So, Tsadok-Hai decided to throw all 4x4 beats overboard. Even on Mangue, a track that starts out as a decent enough dark techno track, only to derail into a breakbeat frenzy towards the end. The other four tracks are equally adventurous and playful, with wildly zigzagging beats, rubbery congo's and rattling drums. Like Squarepusher being locked up with The Gaslamp Killer and Mr. Oizo. A great EP which takes Tsadok-Hai’s sound in exciting new directions.
