Argia is a Spanish-born DJ and producer with a background steeped in music. Having studied piano and double bass at a conservatory, she naturally drifted towards the allure of electronic rhythms as time passed. Her sound blends together elements of melodic techno and nu-disco without being constrained by either; guided by a stripped-back and intuitive approach.

Verano Yang EP was written pre-pandemic in 2019 - Skynaut in the winter, and the title track in the summer. Verano Yang is an assured, striding piece of disco-leaning house, packed with tension for those misty early morning dancefloor moments. Skynaut is a spacey roller which swims in a sweet spot between melodic techno and deep house, with its silk-laden synths feeling dreamy, yet loaded with urgency.

@malaikamalaika, a French artist originally from Guadeloupe and co-founder of the label Sweet Musique who's known for her digging sensibilities. She turns Verano Yang into an Italo- inflected cruiser, lifting the synth melodies to centre-stage to killer effect. Dutch artist @rancidomusic, an artist best known for releases on Innervisions and Omeni on a deep and afrobeat-led tip, serves up his 'Sunset Dub' of Skynaut. It's a floaty, percussive roller which is loaded with subtle grooves, melodic flourishes and wistful melancholia - a classy but deadly soundtrack to late nights, early mornings and those many moments in between.
