“Respire” was created using an energy healing meditation with the beautiful voice of Aurore Roegier, a French channeller, healer and singer. A variety of organic drums, flutes and edgy synthesizers were added to create a dreamy but driving ambiance that will send the listener along an inner journey. 

The frequencies in this composition are all set to 432 hertz, which is said to have harmonic and optimization benefits to the organism. In this time of great change we all need to turn inwards and remember to… breathe!

We see the number 11 as a symbol of high frequency, intuition, and creative energy. In karmic law, 11 is the symbol of spiritual awakening.
It's the state where you transcend your ordinary and have an infinite sense of truth or better reality.
This is how it reflects on the track, as the piano breaks through slowly in the middle, on towards the end - it was the moment where we looked at each other and felt what is described above.

Senka (shadows) brings you a diversity of scenery. It
takes you to a warm crowded marketplace where baselines
and clarinet form a rhythmic coalition. While percussion
waves you towards the shadows, lyrical melodies come and
go from time to time.

After a sphere of calmness, acid sounds start rising
mingled with darbuka and tapan. At the point of highest
tension, melancholic clarinet sounds reflect acceptance.

Goro and the members of Mèraque met in 2020 in Amsterdam.
They share the love for both electronic as acoustic folk
music, became friends and created Senka together.

« Music says things that words simply can’t »

For me, this citation is incredibly true. Music is a natural thing; it is in us. Its frequencies reach our ears and then our brain and activate inexplicable feelings.

As usual I tried to convey these kinds of emotions in this EP.

Acoustic instruments and electronic sonorities come together and bridge the gap between old and traditional music, and modern vibes from today. I’m also lucky to have these amazing remixers who managed to show us their universe while keeping the spirit of the original pieces.
