Anyone who ventured over to Ibiza last year or partied anywhere over the summer will have heard 'Bigger Than Prince' by Green Velvet and no doubt will have lost their shit to it simultaneously. 

It was without doubt one of the songs of 2013 and after a set of huge remixes from the likes of The Martinez Brothers and Hot Since 82, the Circus-released EP is now getting a fresh makeover for the imminent summer season.

As well as new remixes from Darius Syrossian, Jay Lumen and Coyu, label-boss Yousef has turned in his Circus rework of the track and if bumping, rolling grooves are your thing then the Scouse maestro's edit will be right up your street.

Headed up by esteemed DJ, producer, remixer and Circoloco/DC10 Ibiza resident Matthias Tanzmann and manager André Quaas, the Leipzig based label has lasted so long on account of it having always moved ahead of the times. The four track banger „Perfect Couch“ EP is nothing less than you would expect from one of the labelowners, Beth Lydi. With her on the release she has Adrian Hour and Eddie M, who each brings a remix in their own style. “Jump The Couch” is recognized by its strong bassline, sharp leads and small vocal parts that if you play it in the right place at the right time, turns into the track of the night. “Perfectly Imperfect” is a bass-heavy trip through thunderous drums and razor-sharp percussion, tempered by an beautifully restrained vocal and a sick synth. Adrian Hour’s remix of “Jump The Couch” brings powerful drums., and is the perfect track to bring the atmosphere in the night to the next level, a perfect wrecking ball. Eddie M brings out the groovy side of “Perfectly Imperfect”. This remix is a massive Dj-tool with its rolling bassline, and soundwise it perfectly rounds up the EP.

Joyce Muniz has a knack for making percussive music that resonates in the weird crevasses of the human mind, and her latest offering is no exception. Imagine a smoke and lazer-filled drum circle where everyone’s chugging cough syrup and you’re beginning to get the idea.
‘Footworks’ and ‘Your Lies Told Me The Truth’ are bassline driven hyper-jacked groovers - ready to hit the floor. 
In a mere 4 and a bit years from her entry into the house scene, Berlin’s and London’s top labels Exploited & 2020 Vision would come knocking. The union would bring about Joyce’s first knock-out tune “Party Over Here”, to critical acclaim from both the industry & fans alike. "Let It Go" is the latest single from Per Qx. It's the follow up his Hot Since 82/DJ T/Camelphat supported "Ready 4 This".

Obviously - given the title and GU's history - you're thinking its a cover of the "Frozen" classic done in an epic man-Trance style. But strangely, no. For this one Per goes deep with a beautiful looping vocal house cut. Whodathunkit?! And if you're looking for a style guide in the crazy Robin Schulz -> Innervisions world that is Deep House 2016, this one sits perfectly alongside the new records from Mat.Joe on Toolroom and Serge Devant on Crosstown Rebels.

Remixes come from tech-house don Jaceo (who delivers his usual irresistible bouncy groove) and - my own fave - Glasgow's own Illyus & Barrientos who take Per's original on a tough 2am-in-the-Sub-Club style body-jacker.

Detroit raised, Bristol-based Kalyde drops an EP packed with club-ready house bangers, alongside No Idea’s Original (NIO) founder Huxley with a remix.

Known for his releases on Avotre and Skint, Kalyde has escalated in the scene ever since his debut release late 2014. His arrival on NIO marks the label’s fourth release, with him joining a burgeoning roster which spans Pierre Codarin, Sage Caswell, J.Phlip and Huxley. For today's premiere, Kalyde presents a twisted production layered with overdubs of distortion, arpeggiating synthesizers, and a mesmerizing male vocal - all in all painting the vibe - ‘Keep Me Hanging’.
