It is not easy to describe what Hanna & Kerttu is like or where they came from.
Musically, born somewhere between Finland and Norway, located in Berlin, at home in a world of colours.

It might be two little kids in a dark scary forest, getting lost and playing soothing music in order to find the way out. Or some grown ups watching the fairytale in our reality…

When the project started the female members decided to call it Hanna & Kerttu. The finnish name is based on the Grimm brothers' fairy tale Hansel and Gretel and means Hanna & Gretel. Though the cast changed, the name remained.

Their first EP was recorded at Kaikustudios Berlin, produced by Jonas Verwijnen (LCMDF/DENA/Whitest Boy Alive…) and released in 2012.

Charlie is a singer-songwriter from Beirut. He just started his solo career with a first EP, Thirty Sunsets, recorded and self-released in January 2013. He has since performed in several cities and participated in several festivals in Lebanon and Europe: Share Beirut Festival, Wickerpark Festival (Lebanon), Sounds from the Cities on the Edge (Derry, Northern Ireland) among others. He is currently working on his first full-length album.

Charlie Rayne (LBN) - The Sun Rose

Brett Winterford is a folk singer-songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Reinventing the modern day troubadour, Winterford has spent the last couple of years writing songs, travelling the globe and creating a groundbreaking path for folk music, performing unique concerts atop double-decker buses, on river barges, in ancient forts, bedrooms, corner pubs and cafes from Berlin to Brooklyn.

His long awaited solo debut, The Greenthumb EP, is a set of six songs inspired by "Pan", a famous Australian landscape painting by Sydney Long. Coloured by nylon-string acoustics and mandolins, pianos and mellotron, shakers, timpani and tom drums, the recordings deal with the trials and triumphs of the troubadour, the reclaiming of imagination and appreciation for the natural world.

In recent years, Winterford has made Germany his second home. In the land of poets and thinkers, his songs have garnered over 300,000 views on YouTube and attracted a great number of fans. His 2012 tour featured over 55 performances across Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, the US, the UK and Australia, while in mid-2013 he scored a support tour performing in some of Europe's biggest venues including London's Union Chapel, Hamburg's Markthalle and Cologne's E-Werk.

His imaginative and poetic songwriting style has been chosen as the soundtrack for Tourism Australia's National Landscape series, a set of short films showcasing the natural beauty of the Australian environment. 

In 2009 Winterford and five of his closest friends established a series of fortnightly intimate concerts in Surry Hills, Sydney, called High Tea. As of July 2012, well over 6000 listeners have enjoyed these candlelit shows by the likes of Lanie Lane, Mr Percival and Tin Sparrow. Shows usually sell out in less than five minutes.

Brett Winterford (AUS) - Hey Make Believer

It all started with a bike-crash:
Since 2003 Carolin Nerger and her sister are known as the folk-duo 'A Humming From The Wood'.
In 2008 Caro moved to Leipzig, where she wrote a song about a stupid and hurtful bike-crash. That was the
beginning of her side project 'Camilla Talks To Trees'. From time to time she collected more and more
little stories for her songs which were recorded in her bedroom and uploaded to her bandcamp page.
Since 2010 Marcus Katscher is helping her out on stage. On the latest recordings you can find
lots of new friends such as Gerda the ukulele, Walther the melodica, Trym the mandoline and of course Johnni her beloved guitar.

If the lush orchestration of Wasp Summer’s 2012 alt.country folk 
debut ‘Close as a Slow Dance’ was the remnant rainforest of her 
Australian years, you could imagine that Wasp Summer has trekked 
out along the old railway lines, beyond the last sodium streetlights, 
to birth her new songs on the stark, bright plains.
 
With her trio, Wasp Summer strips back her songwriting, offering 
grinding bass, taut drums, spare, chiming guitar and that wild, 
adventurous voice. 
The melancholy of the last album has dried up, 
but not the melody. 
The songs are about resilience and breaking 
with the past. Hot Engine walks away from emotional nostalgia. Oh 
Land Oh Lover calls for the sun after the darkness of the European 
winter. Two Horses fights isolation with a post-punk energy. 

In Berlin’s fertile international singer-songwriter scene, she lives 
as an independent musician,  curating a monthly living room 
concert series, self-organising her European touring through 
couchsurfing and carsharing, and working with A Headful of Bees, 
an international artist collective and booking agency helping artists 
take a DIT (Do-It-Together) approach.

Before life brought River Crombie to Hamburg he lived some time in the mountains east of Melbourne. The stillness and quietude of this landscape developed the soul of his music and lyrics.
