Booka Shade welcome Italian live act Pôngo to Blaufield this February as the duo make their debut appearance on the label with ‘So Many Words’. 
Based in Pisa, Italian production partners and brothers Giovanni and Daniele Bruni aka Pôngo have quickly become rising names of note, balancing both vibrant DJ sets with expansive, refined live performances across Europe and beyond. Following releases on Stereo MC’s London based imprint Connected, finding key support from artists including Solomun, Joris Voorn and Kölsch, the duo now turns their attention to a debut outing on Booka Shade’s Blaufield to open 2019, with three dynamic cuts in forming their ‘So Many Words’ EP. Title track ‘So Many Words’ opens proceedings as the duo combine crisp percussion shots, trademark vocals and pulsating bassline patterns to great effect, before ‘Strong’ builds around further infectious vocals with powerful synth builds and rich yet icy tones. Last up, ‘When You Come’ rounds out proceedings, revealing evolving lead melodies, suspenseful breaks and sweeping synths to shape up the EP.

The sixth EP of Infinite Depth is produced by the Spanish artist Asonante. It has been a long wait till a new release of this characteristic producer, but it’s finally here. Asonante managed to create two atmospheric and dark, but still melodic tracks: ‘Appearances’ and ‘The Silfos’. The first one got a more melodic touch by Oliver Winters and the second one got into the techno hands of Symmetric & Future of Matter. This all forms a four-track banger of an EP, called ‘Daydream EP’.

The touch of Oliver Winters made the original track ‘Appearances’ even more haunting, but also more melodic. He managed to create a very captivating melody, which got enclosed by the elements of the original.

We are delighted to present release #82 from Awen Records, a 3-track EP by Senses Of Mind, a duo of impeccable presence in the ethereal and melodic techno scene. First off is Ascend, a progressive theme that uses lead arpeggios complimented by powerful claps, snares and stabs and a breakdown with a sweet female vocal. Paradox, with a prominent bass and dark synths, uses trance progressions that make it shine. Blindfold Recordings are set to kick off 2020 with the return of their Night Vision compilation series. Now in its third edition, the Night Vision idea is to capture upcoming and "established" artists to shine a light on all the talent that is hiding in plain sight.

Yubik leads the way with 'Haunted Mirror’, a deep, dark and moody production that sets the tone of the Blindfold Recordings family. Ivory brings the rolling hats and echoing melodies with ‘Montauk’ before label co-owners Baime up the energy further with ‘Helion’. Arude offer up a trippy progressive cut with ‘Illusion’ driven by pulsing bass and warped chopped vocals, followed by the second half of Blindfold Recordings, Pete Oak, with ‘Lokye’, a mesmerising piece that rolls throughout with rich vocals provided by the main man himself and surging synths. ‘Vultora’ by Luegoh is the penultimate offering, featuring rattling percussion and darting lead lines, the perfect pathway to ’Samhain’ by Innacircle, who once again lowers the tone with warehouse worthy drums and eerie top lines.
