That’s the mood Nikita von Tiraspol (SXDNS449) captures on his new EP, “Tidal Memory”, coming soon on the Miami-based imprint impresión. Three tracks that move between uplifting summer beach house and melancholic, shimmering evening moods. Perfect for both the island holiday itself and the journey back home. The collection masterfully bridges the gap between celebratory moments and reflective afterthoughts. The cherry on top: DC-based producer Dommie jumps in on the remix duty.

Premiered here, “One Last Summer” is a composition that perfectly encapsulates the promise of its name. The track builds with Balearic intention, introducing delicate synth arpeggios that ripple like sunlight on water. These are soon joined by deeply emotive piano layers that provide a heartfelt core, while subtle percussive elements maintain a gentle, forward pulse. It is a heartfelt invitation to soak in every final moment of warmth and light, crafting a genuine sense of wistful closure that lingers long after the final note fades. The arrangement feels both expansive and intimate, successfully translating a universal feeling into a rich auditory experience.

As TOR continues to set a strong early foundation, we head to the Meditteranean for an EP bursting with summer flavor and genuine energy. Collaborations are a pillar of the label program at When We Dip, as they capture the community and collective essence of electronic music.

Greek aficionado VieL has garnered a stellar reputation for groove and melody through a string of projects with Tale & Tone, Hoomidas, and Akbal Music. Joining him in the drivers seat are Italian comrades Madraas; a revamped moniker for a longtime partnership, who’ve graced the likes of Soundgarden and Ready Mix Records. The three seasoned producers have come together for a top drawer project, joining TOR in the presentation of the Vires EP.

Setting the stage is the release’s title track, Vires. We dive right into the groove as a crisp kick sets the mood for a track brimming with low frequency. The haunting basslines are infectious, as light percussive rhythms and strings bring character to the breakdown. A late-night tune for vibey dancefloors.

Roques harnesses melancholic melodies for a smooth and dreamy affair. A simple vocal loop plays along in background, as natural textures and swirling synths keep listeners' minds moving.

Rounding out the trio, Omnes brings heady percussion and piano work. Rhythms rotate from the start, and a playful melody brings a sense of cohesiveness to the EP’s closing.

Names like Perfect Strangers, NODO and Leandro Caceres headline the compilation. Appearing second in order, Facundo Losardo also supplies an original mix. “Captive” proceeds to blanket fans in twinkling beats, warm ambiance and sumptuous piano chords.

The latest release from Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Balad back to the label for a new EP entitled ‘A Distant Memory’. The Australian artist first appeared on the Belgian imprint in 2019 with ‘The Days’, an EP produced alongside frequent studio partner Bigasti. The Sydney residents deep sound has continued to flourish as he carefully adds to a resume that includes releases on Balance Music, BeatFreak Recordings, Where The Heart Is and Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden. Now making a welcome return to Sound Avenue, Balad presents his first solo EP for the label alongside a remix from Zone+.

Without seasons, time slips through our fingers more easily, and our experiences melt into one another. And summer is a special season. A time of freedom, of joy, of coming together. Summers are for journeys. Trips to new and exciting places. Adventures that play out under the heat of the sun, giving life to everything it touches. Exploration and experience, new sensations and new people. It made sense, therefore, to start our musical journey through the four seasons in this most-cherished period of the year: the summer.
