We are delighted to welcome Miss Monique to Lost on You with her new 'Way of the Wind EP'. The talented producer has been a well-known entity within the scene developing an inimitable musical style, full of ambiance, paired with dejected and warm dreamy patterns that have guided her to where she is today and embody the sound she now embodies.

On her debut, Miss Monique begins with the excellent opening track "Way of the Wind", a stunning progressive house track. The track uses a deep groove as its foundation, underpinned by a melodic rhythmic groove that gradually works its way to the top. Unified by a round kick drum and unrivaled atmospheric emotion, a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an artfully crafted work of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the title track, "Sojorun", round off this spectacular release. The influences of Miss Monique are immediately evident, as subtle free-form concepts drift through the instrumentations and their progressive sound. Undulating melodies travel along with a deep kick that anchors an aural setup to create a special moment of sonic infusion, complemented by an impressive groove that will leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured soul-warming vocals and a strong arranger line and melodic infused rhythmic bass provide the foundation for this inspired piece to unfold in delayed glory. Essential stuff.

With Miss Monique's new outing on Lost on You, she takes her talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2-track crowd-pleasing track. 'Endangered presents The Sky Above Us by Ra; the label debut from an emerging artist out of the Mexican electronic scene.

An upcoming talent based out of Mexico City, Raúl Contreras (Ra) is part of the new wave of artists breaking through in the Mexican electronic music scene.  His music flows effortlessly between an energetic style of progressive house and melodic techno, a natural fit for the sound of Endangered.  Upon hearing some of his demos, Brian Cid invited Ra to put together an EP, and the result is The Sky Above Us - a brilliant debut on Endangered.

The EP begins with the title track, and in true Endangered style, a sense of tension and drama is created with its cinematic breakdowns.  Many layers of synths weave in and out throughout, which adds to the vibe of this trippy opener.  Following is “Midnight Escargots”, and it brings a combination of dark & haunting synths with a pulsating techno beat.   One can visualize themselves running through a dimly lit cave with this track, and it has a groove that keeps the energy rising throughout.

The dark, but melodic techno theme continues with the 3rd track “My Ghosts”.  A deep, rumbling bass can be felt in your stomach here, and a subtle vocal during the break adds to the eeriness.  The mood is lightened slightly with the concluding “When Our Time Comes”.  The progressive and hypnotic feeling from the opener returns here with its trippy arpeggiated synths, and it signals that this chapter has now come to an end.

BR009 Kalmer - Forever Dreamer EP 

EP number nine from Black Rose Recordings is called 'Forever Dreamer' and it comes from the UK talent Kalmer.
The EP starts off with the title track 'Forever Dreamer'. An amazing melodic production that combine bright lead sounds with heavy bass lines and an hypnotic groove.
The second track, called 'Entrance', is a darker one. In this track the melodic side of the EP gets more dark and strong, with low groove elements accompanying the magistral sound design of the synths.
The third track is called 'Passenger'. In this piece of music Kalmer took his sounds to an even higher level by letting the rhythmic part to communicate with a deep and immersive atmosphere.
'Hunted' is the fourth track of the EP, it will take you into a mystical state of mind, with a very particular rhythm and percussion that sounds perfectly with the heavy and strong synths.
