The latest release from Astral Records welcomes Deciduous to the label for their debut EP. Based in Ireland, the Deciduous production duo was conceptualized in 2017 with a mission to bring their synth-laden progressive tracks to the dance floor. Two years spent perfecting their craft eventually led to 2019 releases via 3rd Avenue, Awen Records and Parquet Recordings. 2020 then saw similar successes with the Dublin residents showcasing their music on Eternity Sounds and Running Clouds. Now following an EP on Vagabond Recordings to begin 2021, Deciduous step up to Astral Records with a three-track showcase entitled 'Other World'.

Through distinctive design and spacey soundscapes Deciduous have carved out their own unique place in the underground. 'Other World' showcases this wonderfully with it's mysterious and deeply compelling architecture. Devilish sonics built around a tough, cavernous groove and striking percussion make for a heady seven-minute journey. An expansive break sits at the heart of composition, melting down to a dramatic array of sonic artifacts, before a sizzling build ushers in an arp driven finale.

The second selection 'Midnight Hustle' comes in equally mesmerizing with its robust framework, psychedelic structures and alien-like design immediately grabbing your attention. Tense yet exhilarating, its emotional range is vast, accentuated beautifully with arcane hooks and astral trails, eventually leading to a poignant break and fierce final act.

Rounding out the release is 'Tara' which finds Deciduous exploring the deeper realms of cosmic techno. Backed by a punchy groove, it's bounce and drive quickly become infectious. Billowing stabs and trailing effects offset each other nicely, as romping rhythms and clattering percussion build momentum across the first act. Icy overlays descend at opportune moments, adding additional depth as layers of sonic artefacts saturate your senses during a dramatic break and charged final movement. It caps off a superb Astral Records debut for Deciduous, who are most certainly an artist duo operating at their creative peak.

Berlin based producer and DJ Philipp Kempnich brings an energetic and memorable peak time track together with Allies For Everyone. “Disc Nite“ is deep and and comes with a warm and strong groove. “Somebody’s Trail“ starts more technical and cold. Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this August with it’s sixth outing. Boasting five label debutants in Xinobi, Yunus Güvenen, Ole Beige, Ceas, and Westseven, and the return of John Monkman, the latest in the series is as diverse as it is distinct.

First up is John Monkman’s ‘Magnolia’. A cascading dive into the deep end, Magnolia’s haunting atmospheres and whirling leads culminate in an evocative track, triumphantly signalling Monkman's return to Anjunadeep after three years.

Featuring a infectious hook set to a pulsating chord progression, Xinobi’s ’Skulls’ is a floor filler for the masses, marking an impressive full label debut for the Lisbon producer.

Having recently released his first track in four years, Bedrock Records affiliate Yunus Güvenen steps up with ‘Lost In Sight’. Originating from Turkey, Güvenen’s production is both celestial and emotive, evoking the classic progressive sound of the 2000’s.

Ole Beige’s offering is an organic track imbued with tribal vocals and percussion. The German producer’s penchant for emotive house has previously seen the support from Pete Tong, epitomised in the soulful detuned chords and driven syncopated synthlines of ‘Tanzanian'.

A culmination of subtle percussion, nuanced keys, and soaring synths, Ceas’ ‘Parosse’ signals a promising future for the French Producer, previously one half of duo We Need Cracks.

Closing out Explorations 06 is ‘Seeds’ from Westseven, a new project from Kuala Lumpur based producer Rory Gallagher. ‘Seeds’ sees Gallagher bounce deep arpeggios off a brooding bassline to craft an enigmatic and hypnotic atmosphere.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint follows up their 100th release by welcoming Paula Os to the label for her first ever solo single ‘Pearl’. Born in Chile but now Buenos Aires based, Paula shot into the electronic music spotlight in 2016 with her vocal work on Jos & Eli’s ‘Walking On Water’. Released through long standing German imprint Einmusika, it set the course for what has been a remarkable two year stretch. Paula has since gone on to collaborate with some of progressive music’s most esteemed talents in Antrim and Kamilo Sanclemente. 2017 saw Sound Avenue label boss Madloch introduce Paula’s sublime vocals into his well received Magician On Duty single ‘Deserts & Snow’. A friendship and mutual respect developed between the two artists, eventually leading to the present with Paula’s first and much anticipated solo single coming courtesy of Sound Avenue, alongside remixes from Powel and Adam Nathan.

When asked about what the release means to him, TÂCHES quipped: 'Burning Desire’ is a sultry late-night tale of love when the lights come down. Itai Kriss features on the breakdown with a transcendental flute solo before we're brought right back into a mood of mystery and romance. ‘You (Used To)’ is a dirge to who you used to be sung by who you are becoming. It's a hazy and stoic trip down memory lane.”

Group Love is TÂCHES' second EP and third release this year. His Heart Over Heels EP was massively successful with a premiere from Thissongissick.com, DJ support from the likes of Disclosure, Claptone, Jamie Jones, Gab Rhome, & David Hohme, and its lead single "Sofia's Theme" receiving over 500k streams on Spotify.

More recently, TÂCHES released a remix of "Mama" by Hypsidia & Altriparty on his own label Glitter Cowboy. The remix received support in Jody Wisternoff's [Anjunadeep] monthly DJ Mix series as well as a premiere from When We Dip. 

TÂCHES also recently shared an hourlong mix with some of his favorite tunes."
