Italian producer and Be Free label head Jäger makes his debut on Underyourskin Records with a haunting ‘Mystical Journey‘ that turns out to be a playful minimalistic techno approach in the beginning, before evolving into a dark synth driven and more techhouse dominant tune gaining its dancefloor eligibility with a heavy baseline.

Up next is the London-based DJ & producer Third Son, who unleashes a conceptually focused release off his new concept label - Polymath. 

His Polymath concept will ask different artists to create tracks inspired by their perception of a singular theme. The flagship release includes tracks from Einmusik, Pete Oak, and Third Son himself. All 3 tracks are malleable for the dance floor, yet dive into unknown territory. Having released on labels such as Noir Music, Stil Vor Talent, and Sincopat, his next release Genus is yet another display of both his musical and production dexterity.

Genus will be available June 20th via Polymath.

Booka Shade welcome Italian live act Pôngo to Blaufield this February as the duo make their debut appearance on the label with 'So Many Words'. Based in Pisa, Italian production partners and brothers Giovanni and Daniele Bruni aka Pôngo have quickly become rising names of note, balancing both vibrant DJ sets with expansive, refined live performances across Europe and beyond. Following releases on Stereo MC's London based imprint Connected, finding key support from artists including Solomun, Joris Voorn and Kölsch, the duo now turns their attention to a debut outing on Booka Shade's Blaufield to open 2019, with three dynamic cuts in forming their 'So Many Words' EP.

Remcord is back on Atmosphere Records and that’s good news! We released some of our best EP’s with this talented French dude and this Follow The Light EP is surely the next big one. Tale of Us has been hammering this release for months now. So this might be something you heard or seen in some videos on the socials…

Follow The Light, the first track, is a psychedelic trip on a layer of progressive elements. It’s a story yet a dance floor bomb. The very distinct voice of Donamaria cuts right through the mix and sticks out above the impeccable melodies and synth sounds. Pure emotion!

Green Melodies is more straight forward, the flawless analog synth sounds and melodies are placed nicely balanced on a big bass-line and beat.

Formatting is the final song of this EP, a very beautiful closing track. It has a very organic feel, but slowly evolves with a touch of electronic sparks, bits and glitches into a decent down-tempo musical masterpiece.

'Tripswitch’s onedotsixtwo platform continues to keep the positivity flowing in 2020 and bring together the finest global talent, guided by its mission to release the most excellent proper Progressive House music. For the label’s 27th release focus shifts to Australia, showcasing the creative vision of Melbourne’s emotive master Gavin Griffin aka GMJ, stopping off in Sri Lanka to enlist Danidu & Hasith on remix duty.

GMJ’s boundless passion for deep emotive electronic music has ensured his relentless rise up the ladder of global recognition.  It’s been a busy start to the year for GMJ, with solo releases on Balkan Connection, Vapour, Esta Caliente and Visceral, along with an ever-growing catalogue of collaborative projects with Matter (check their new, hotly tipped Meanwhile label).  A truly exceptional creator, GMJ’s previous onedotsixtwo appearances – ‘Efficacy’ (ODST001) and his remix of Griffin Paisley’s ‘Peak Flow’ (ODST008) – firmly tagged him as long-term family member, so this highly anticipated and overdue return was always going to be a highpoint. 

GMJ’s renowned deep rhythms and special textures are in full flow here.  The low-slung, slithering bassline groove, melded with eastern-influenced hooks and soaring heavenly atmospheres combine magically, to create the deliciously drifting euphoric experience that is ‘Periphery’.  Danidu & Hasith continue to stretch tame creative boundaries with their deeply powerful remix, as they weave an inspired magical spell by way of intricate harmonics, infused with their trademark majestic magnificence.

These two intensely passionate and supremely talented DJ/Producers are rising up out of the Sri Lankan electronic underground, both individually and together.  Danidu & Hasith’s combined unique vision, driven to deliver pure quality with essential attention to minute detail, saw this duo burst into the wider progressive collective consciousness through 2019. Connecting their creative minds in the studio resulted in head-turning remixes for Rick Pier O’Neil (twice), Nishan Lee and Ricardo Piedra. Their excellent Serendeep label is also flourishing and invigorating their home country's scene, whilst pushing artists onto the global stage.'

Release Info: 
Frau Blau is gaining a solid reputation as a super cool musical imprint, pushing the musical boundaries, and releasing music from the Worlds finest producers. This tradition continues here with Turkish DJ, Producer and label boss, the wonderful 'Murat Uncouglu'.

Murat's music has been gracing Innervisions, Afterlife, Stil Vor Talent, Multinotes, Selador, his own Isolate imprint and here on Frau Blau.

'This Is The Day' is a hypnotic and swaggery edged slab of filth. Dark and intense and full of tension, this tasty number undulates from deepness to a solid frenzy of sound.

'Timelapse' is a subtle arp laced affair, with moody sweeps, and cool white noise percussion. Layers build adding intensity, as some wobbliness is added for additional magic, before the top line adds the icing to the (virtual) cake. The re-work oozes coolness as we go deeper, yet with energy still flowing, this slice of coolness is a real treat.

On remix duties, the mighty Avidus take control. With their music appearing on Afterlife, Hommage, Crosstown Rebels and their own label Empore Music, they seemed the obvious choice here.
