Toronto producer Dowden joins Modern Agenda Music with his three track EP, Ripple. Each of the tracks carries something special, each is unique in its own sound. 

Ripple, the title track, is in collaboration with local Torontonian vocalist, Amber Long. Ripple is a melancholic vocal track that leaves space to the imagination as the melody carries the mood along. Keyway is signature sound for Modern Agenda music, a perfect addition to any set, with that deep Progressive House sound, rolling bass, intricate percussion, just a beautiful piece of work. Somber is, as the name suggests, very dark, cinematic and the perfect introspective ending track to any set.

After the success of ‘Shadows’ and a string of recognised remixes, the anonymous dj and producer Soul Button is ready to ‘Play Again’ with another tantalising release. This second helping of masterfully produced music comes with the same endearing heart that beats so strong within the work of Soul Button and with the purest and most surprising vocals that have become synonymous with the work of this talented artist. The EP features 3 alluring tracks each with their own unique and well crafted sound to help captivate feelings of uncertainty as we brace for the winter months to come.

The EP starts off with the pure and lucid sound of ‘The Keepers’. The unique vocals are a complement to the reflective nature of this swirling track and bring character to the emotional build up of the narrative. A flourishing synth reminiscent of late 90’s house music, is the backbone of this well crafted piece and elevates you to a state of muse.

Taking a more progressive stance on the next step is ‘Play Again’, a powerful addition to any set. Filled with grit and laced with sex appeal, the track is a reminder of Soul Button’s dark and yet playful style. Strong vocals stamp attitude into this venomous foot stomper. A devilish blend of percussion is tamed by a strong piano sample but still driven by an enduring bassline.

Closing the chapter on the EP is the haunting sounds of ‘Come To Me’, a deep and progressive track that hypnotises. This downtempo trip is a gripping tale of faith and fidelity in all things real. It is brought to life by rich enigmatic vocals and carried by a pulsing African rhythm that leaves you wanting more.

‘Play Again’ EP will see a vinyl release in December and a digital release will follow including a dub version of ‘Play Again’.

UFO Sound continues to establish itself with another vital new EP that this time comes from Peredel. The UFO Sound label co-owner and host of UFO radioshow on Ibiza Global Radio, steps forward for his first solo EP. His previous releases in collaboration with Legroni & Tom Zeta have had massive support from many key artists on the scene.
Whisper is first up and is a nice sparse techno roller with female vocals that are deeply alluring. Lead synths eventually come in to trip you out. Playing On Electricity is a melodic tech track with dancing chords that are pixelated and as the title suggests, electric. Underwater is a more deep rooted tune that wallows in the shadows, with lush pads and angelic chords eventually adding colour. Mermaid is more upbeat with a snapping percussive line and busy synths that wander about the mix. Runo closes out with another slick groove and slapping hits that will get you on your toes.
This, then, is a fantastic EP once more from UFO Sound.
