That time when the sun crosses the plane of the earth's equator, making night and day of approximately equal length all over the earth. 'Equinox' is P.E.A.R.L. his debut on Float Records. As known for his aesthetic grooves we are proud to add this Berlin based Spanish producer to our catalogue. This three track EP does exactly what the title implies. 

Equinox I hits it right in the centre, with vibes perfect for either sunset or sunrise. The hypnotic sequence will cut through your brain and makes sure you don’t even know if it’s night or day. Equinox II represents the night. Again an incredible solid sequence, but with a raw edge assisted by a haunting soundscape doing justice to the dark. No one is safe for this killer. When day time arrives you will be introduced to Equinox III. This seems to be the most friendly track, but don’t let it fool you. A smart percussive rhythm does the magic and creates the hypnotic experience you can expect from P.E.A.R.L.

Lee Van Dowski makes his debut on the mighty Crosstown Rebels with three delectably dark soundscapes in the Tale Of Ordinary Madness EP.

The talented producer delivered a stunning EP for Crosstown sub-label Rebellion back in 2015 and this follow up exceeds all expectations. The title track is based on a text from Charles Bukowski’s My Madness. Opening with brooding intensity it evolves with haunting synths and subtle acid laced over a pitched down male vocal. On the flip The Great Escape and Rapidplatz follow suit advancing with dark, hypnotic layers.

“When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!” 

French born, Zurich based Lee Van Dowski has toured the world many times over, as party of Luciano’s Vagabundos troupe and as an individual artist. His impressive discography covers labels including Wagon Repair, Cocoon, Suara, Soma, Rekids, BPitch Control,Ilian Tape, and Mobilee. This year shows no signs of slowing down with a release for Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD followed by this heavy-weight release for Crosstown Rebels.

‘Maasai’ is the Thirty-second release of Aftertech Records. For this the Berlin duo Techno Frühstück returns to the label, together with Modest Crow. Which resulted into an excellent combination of power, groove and melody. This powerful EP is topped off with amazing remixes by Alex Preda and Ariose.

The title track Maasai will be a killer track on the dancefloor. African screams fill the air while a deep growling bassline makes the ground tremble. It has a dark feeling to it yet it is very upbeat. Ominous specials effects and crystal droplets are the perfect addition to the feel of this track. For us it is clear, this track will turn many clubs upside-down!
