XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the underground's finest selectors.

For this week’s episode, XYZ is thrilled to have Argentinian powerhouse, Djolee, gracing the show. On the cusp of he & Gespona’s first remix with the label and fresh off the launch of their very own Rummel,  he commemorates the occasion with a set that will leave you breathless. Mostly composed of unreleased tracks and IDs, each beat is infused with a primal energy that makes for an unforgettable hour.

In their version of ‘What Do You Want Me to Say,’  Gespona & Djolee craft huge percussion rolls and manipulate White’s layers and textures. The two artists leave room for the memorable hook halfway through, which then recedes in favour of the heavy drums.

SYNESTHESIA Invites: Abuk | 008

Marginalia welcomes more bubbling top-tier talent to the label with the release of its first ever VA compilation, ‘Bestiary Vol. 1’. 

Released worldwide on Friday, February 23, Marginalia’s ‘Bestiary Vol. 1’ VA features a total of seventeen unique productions from a selection of artists whose immaculate productions have become a mainstay in Elif’s DJ sets over the past twelve months. 

A term dating back to the Middle Ages – roughly translating to ‘an encyclopaedia of beasts’ – the first instalment of ‘Bestiary’ is  accompanied by a continuous mix of all tracks from Elif, as she welcomes an array of Marginalia mainstays and debuting talent to the label for an epic compendium of discerning dance floor cuts.

Joining returning artists Althoff, Jaffer and MANTi, are an incredible fifteen debutant acts – Ayan, Esin, Evade, I Promised Mom, Juan Gioffre, Mumboi, Mrqz, Rebrn, Sam Farsio, Samet Gunal, Sebastian Duarte, Snirco, Tenvin, Tito Azevedo and VALON & LERM – all of whom bring their own unique contributions to the first chapter of Marginalia’s ‘Bestiary’ VA series; a package which showcases some of the very finest interpretations of underground house and techno on the label to date.
