Fresh from excursions on Gruuv and New Violence, Glaswegian Dalfie returns to Catz ‘N Dogz Pets with three more marching orders. Please stand to attention:
‘Outlaw’ sets the tone with a slinky synth bass groove, a shadow-creeping ambience and a neat sense of momentum that takes you unaware with subtle twists and diversions en route. An ideal opener or transition piece, ‘Outlaw’ whips up an atmosphere like no other.  ‘For It’ adds acidic petrol to the deep, dark fire. Slow-burning with a hip-slinking percussion-tinted groove, it gradually gets darker and darker as we creep further into Dalfie’s 303s. By the time we’re submersed in the breakdown our veins are nothing by circuits and frequencies run through them like blood.
For our final leg of the journey Dalfie leaves us in a brighter mindset with ‘Right Up’. Taking cues from both mid 90s Chicago and late 90s Paris, there’s an unquenchable funk woven deep into the filtered samples, pushing beats, carnivalian percussion and the lolloping bassline. Twisted in places, fluctuating in others, seriously vibrant throughout, this is a precision intersection of house, techno and disco all rolled into one seriously vibed-out party piece. Scatcity’s label head Skatman debuts his first EP on the collective with ‘Back In The Zukunft’. After a series of appearances on the imprint, the Berlin based producer drops a powerful four tracker that sees the return of Ivory on the rework. 

Opening up with the title track, electric synths frantically riff over a rolling bassline, quickly morphing into a brooding alliance that combine and chug endlessly into the distance. 

With huge support already from Dixon, ‘Psyche’ makes out for a real peak time delivery from Skatman. A melodic synth line hovers effortlessly against a looming range of chords and a chunky bassline, opening its filters slowly as you become submersed deep into its dream like atmosphere.  

Rolling onto the B-side, a percussive groove lays the foundation for ‘Meraki’, as he leaves space for a gentle melody to gradually fill the mix, gathering its intensity as it suddenly morphs into an acidic strike.  

Welcoming back Ivory with, he flips ‘Meraki’ into a much darker and hypnotic charge, rounding off the EP and leaving one last mark on the dancefloor.

Next up for Maeve we welcome the very talented Italian duo, Underspreche to the label, delivering a 4 track EP including a remix from label founder The Drifter. 

Underspreche first caught our attention back in 2016 with the release of their mini album "Invito Alla Danza" on Optimo Trax, a record that possesses the captivating mixture of ethno vocals & sounds with a raw house dynamic. From there they continued to impress with their unique twist on many prominent House and Techno jams through their Experiments series. We are thrilled to have worked with them to bring you this EP and who better to describe the record than Underspreche themselves...

"We think every kind of art has an important role in our lives because of the magical power it has inside. Positive art can be profound, produce questions, show us new perspectives, transform feelings and connect people telepathically. If this is not magic??!! Taking inspiration from Alejandro Jodorowsky's work we did our own “music act” with this record, trying to ease our inner sorrow through musical poetry and freeing our voice.
