Very happy to present a next discovery from the country we call home, Switzerland: originally hailing from an indie/folk-pop background, the singer and songwriter Natascha Polké has found her destiny in powerful melodic techno and mixed a sensationally strong Whiskey Sour for us!

Always drawn to dark ambient vibes, Natascha has ultimately found her footing in techno. Marrying the two influences Natascha Polké manages to interweave what might appear like an unusual match into sublime melancholic productions transcending stylistic boundaries. Driving beats and haunting pads are flattered by her intimate vocals, telling stories of blurring lines between reality and illusion, diving deep into unknown corners of the human mind.
 
After living in London for several years and holding a residency at the Roundhouse (LDN), Natascha Polké now resides in Switzlerand and regularly DJs at Zurich’s Hive, as well as frequently playing events such as Klangheimlich and Motion Beach Festival.

Her first single ‘Siren’ was a collabation with Definition:music and was also the beginning of her merge with his label Defintion:Music. Definition:Music, which has been making waves in the electronic scene since 2011 and launched the career of none other than the Ukrainian electro- duo ARTBAT. Whilst producing all tracks herself she mixed her 2021 EP in a collaboration with no other than Jan Blomqvist’s team in Berlin.

It’s easy to lose yourself in Natascha Polké’s music, get carried away by melancholic waves with an edge of longing, underpinned by pulsing bass lines and beats you can’t help but nod along to.

Magical weekend, magical place, magical atmosphere, magical music..What a blast this was for me. So glad I had the chance to share my music with all you beautiful souls. Thank you all Bonjukians and the core team from the very bottom of my heart for such an experience, it was a privilege. Let's dance disco angels! Lighting up your Tuesday with an incredible set by Budakid & Matthias Meyer. We thoroughly enjoyed having this dynamic duo finish the night super strong and making our 2022 year end in such a dreamy way. They joined our Babylonian Nightsky Celebration in Amsterdam and played this stunning set at the Star Stage. The night closed out with lots of dancing underneath the glow of the planets with disco mirror performers hypnotizing us. What a night to remember!

Our next Podcast comes from the Eve collective. Eve are a Dublin based female collective comprised of three like minded individuals. They are regulars at Melodic's events and have even played alongside our DJ's in Berlin. They host Room 2 for our 7th Birthday in Tengu on Jan 26th with Cailín/Trikk.

The concept of Eve was formed through a passion for electronic music and a niche in Dublin’s music scene for more of a female presence.

By hosting parties with an all female line-up Eve allows the girls playing to have full creative control over their night from start to finish, enabling them to bring their audience on a musical journey.

The success of the radio broadcast turned into a successful touring career, with invites to perform in venues like D-Edge (São Paulo, Brazil), Warung (Itajaí, Brazil), Fusion Festival (Lärz, Germany), Nest (Toronto, Canada), Womb (Tokyo, Japan), The Pickle Factory (London, UK), Le Bikini (Toulouse, France), Rote Fabrik (Zurich, Switzerland), Harry Klein (Munich, Germany), Niceto Club (Buenos Aires, Argentina), KaterBlau (Berlin, Germany), Baum (Bogota, Colombia) and of course her Dutch hometown Amsterdam where she is hosting a COLOURIZON residency at De Marktkantine.

Her fast-growing fanbase is embracing her latest release, ‘Nirvana’ on the English label Polymath which follows after a remix on Traum and her ‘Magenta’ EP on Chapter 24 Records including remixes by Dave Seaman and Jonas Saalbach.

With releases on Parquet Recordings, Einmusika Recordings, a collaboration with Eelke Kleijn, Olivier Weiter & Arjuna Schiks on the WEITER label, Chapter 24 Records, Traum, Polymath and her upcoming tour schedule, Miss Melera will give global audience a chance to discover her vision of electronic music.
