The latest release from Astral Records welcomes Lastraw and Nine Collins to the label for their debut EP. The former has enjoyed a near decade long career as a producer, showcasing his techno sounds via Exotic Refreshment, Rhythmetic Records and Us and Them Records. Meanwhile, Nine Collins has enjoyed similar success as a DJ, playing some of Greece's trendist venues such as Tokyo City Bar, Club Division and The Real Rock n Rolla. Having made their collaborative debut with a contribution to the Movement Recordings 'Technical Progress' Vol. 11 collection earlier this year, Lastraw and Nine Collins now present their first ever artist EP entitled 'Her Kind'.

Beginning with the title selection the duo explores the depths of cosmic techno with a heady creation that's sure to get your dance floor moving. Waves of rippling bass power forward, setting the foundation, while clattering percussion and crunchy rhythms encase the framework. "Our Chrom Recordings EP nr 40 is from Sam Albasini aka Aston Alba, a producer & DJ from Switzerland. In 2018 he released his first singles and EP's on Trippy Code and Inlab. Pretty soon his style of music evolved from melancholic & hypnotic techno into a mix of mystic atmospheres and Middle Eastern sounds resulting in releases on Grrreat & Aftertech. And in this style he presents us now his "Mesopotamia" EP on Chrom Recordings, consisting of 2 original tracks "Tigris" & "Euprates", completed with 3 very powerful remixes.

For "Euphrates" we asked an artist we already wanted to add to our roster for some time: Aaron Suiss, from Washington DC, but now currently residing in Thailand. Aaron Suiss describes his style of music as Progressive Melodic House/Techno. Aaron is currently working as the A&R & Label Manager of Outta Limits Recordings, one of the leading Progressive House labels around and the imprint of Stan Kolev & Matan Caspi. Next to his output on Outta Limits he also has released on Revolt, Harabe & O'Tawa. For this remix Aaron teams up with Q.U.A.K.E aka Netanel Asraf from Israel.

The second remix of "Euphrates" is made by Riccardo LeBron aka Anakim (pronounce as ana-keem), a Los Angeles-based DJ/producer who describes his music as "Intergalactic Underground Sounds". He perfected his sound at the esteemed Icon Collective Music Production School resulting in a dark and mysterious sonic style that is both melodically rich and delightfully sinister. Releases on top labels such as EIN2, ICONYC, mau5trap, Desert Hearts Black, Krafted Underground, Dear Deer,... and nominated by DJ Mag as "Artist To Watch" in 2019 and by Billboard Dance as "Emerging Artist You Should Know" this year, says it all.

And last but not least the EP is completed with a remix of "Tigris" by Sarcasmo. Sarcasmo is a new project, a new idea, from the Spanish producer/DJ Alvaro Fuentes, established in London, sharing his more than 10 years of experience and in which after researching about different styles brings his darkest side: techno, deep and minimal influences fused with dark vibes is what you can find in most of his energetic productions, resuling in releases on labels such as Steyoyoke, Us & Them, KDB, Wood, Cinematique, Qilla,..."
