Within Without, the expansive string laden centre of Scrimshire's 2021 album Nothing Feels Like Everything, receives a beautiful rework from long-time friend and collaborator Emanative. 

Scrimshire and Emanative appeared in the London Jazz scene around the same time in 2008 and in fact in 2010 Scrimshire remixed song Illusions, from Nick Woodmansey's debut record. Now the prolific producer and writer returns the favour with a meditative and uplifting take.

The bonds on this rework are many and deep as both artists have worked extensively with Jessica Lauren over the years. In this remix, Nick brings more of his own collaborators along for the ride, with additional saxophone and vocals lifting this peaceful "optimistical" version.

Kieron Boothe is a British rapper and Illustrator hailing from East London. He represents a new wave of UK artists whose music is as much rooted in jazz and soul as in new styles. ‘Out Of Sight’ is the first single from his upcoming EP Views From The Bottom, his second solo-release with Melting Pot Music. With artwork by the man himself. 

Raised in Newham, East London, with family ties in Jamaica (his grandfather is a cousin of reggae legend Ken Boothe), Kieron started rapping at the young age of 11, first emerged on the scene in 2012 and has dropped a total of seven projects since. He has contributed to the first volume of The Silhouettes Project and he has recently been featured on songs by edbl, KeepVibesNear and Nikhil Beats. Graduating in Graphic Design from University of the Arts London has given Kieron the advantage of being able to produce branding and marketing material for his own releases as well as a range of other artists both underground and commercial alike.

Lazy Hazy

Joe Armon-Jones & Maxwell Owin are forces to be
reckoned with. Both integral parts of the burgeoning South
London jazz scene, these young musicians contribute to numerous
outfits including Ata Kak, Jamie Isaac, MC Pinty, Moses
Boyd Exodus and Ezra Collective, as well as pushing their
own solo projects.

This is their first combined effort.

'Idiom' is the result of multiple collaborations under the
direction of Joe and Maxwell. Featuring Nubya Garcia, Oscar
Jerome and Jake Long, it is heavily influenced by the hardcore
continuum and covers everything from 2-step, broken-beat and
house to jazz and dub.

Having been compared to artists like 4hero, Floating
Points, Harvey Sutherland and Moodymann all in the
same breath, Joe & Maxwell are already garnering support
from Radio 6 Music's Gilles Peterson, Musica Maconda's
Tim Garcia and Jazz FM's Chris Philips. This is an
accomplished body of work by some of the most exciting
young talent in London right now.
