The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings finds Alexandros DjKevinGr, Greg Ignatovich, James Trystan and Rauschhaus joining forces for two special collaborations. This quartet of artists have all achieved measurable success in their respective solo careers, with a collective discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Disco Halal, Diynamic, Ellum, Parquet Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Sudbeat Music. Their affinity for crafting cutting edge sounds always comes with a keen nose for the dance floor and in turn has earned praise from the world's most highly regarded DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Maceo Plex, Pete Tong and Sasha. Now landing on Movement for a rare project, the quartet presents 'All Alone / Arctic' alongside remixes from Miss Monique and Morttagua.

Beginning with 'All Alone', Alexandros, Greg and James craft a peak time slice of progressive techno. Beginning with muscular beats, striking electronics and fiery percussion, the trio introduce an astral narrative led by emotive arps and ethereal vocal phrases. Smooth chord changes flow through a bed of crunchy rhythms, providing a greater emotional lean leading into the break. The centrepiece highlights the vocal further, expanding its impassioned scope, before shifting energy into a soaring finale. The companion piece 'Arctic' finds Alexandros and Greg collaborating with German sensation Rauschhaus on an equally powerful dance floor creation. Perhaps an ideal complement to 'All Alone' it's commanding presence proves impactful from the outset. Rough and rugged in all the right ways; it's pulsating rhythms, sweeping noise and astral sonics set the stage for a prophetic arp and indignant swells to fully saturate your senses during an apocalyptic finish.

The lone interpretation of 'All Alone' is provided by Miss Monique who makes her label debut. Widely regarded as the most recognized female DJ in progressive house, Alesia Arkusha aka Miss Monique travels the world performing at sold out club venues on a weekly basis, while her podcasts 'MiMo' and 'Mind Games' continue to be two of the genre's most beloved mix series. The Ukrainian artist is also an accomplished producer, with her releases via Black Hole Recordings, Freegrant Music, Perspectives Digital and her own Siona Records imprint all earning impressive Beatport chart placings. Now following a well received collaboration with Sean & Dee, Miss Monique makes her Movement Recordings debut with a gorgeous rendition of 'All Alone'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original the Kyiv resident leans in a more progressive minded direction, with a lighter low-end and spacious rhythmic core. The main arp translates beautifully over the reconstructed framework, perfectly setting the stage for warm overlays and impassioned chord changes which carry into the break. Cinematic in scope, the centrepiece eventually melts down to a glowing backdrop and fragmented vocals, elevating mood as a tasteful build cues an exhilarating final movement.

Opening the summer season, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Andres Moris and Alto Astral to the label for their debut EP. Based in Argentina, Andre Moris has been touted as one of his country's fastest rising progressive house talents. Although only a year into his production career, the Cordoba resident has already earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while landing releases via Antrim's Or Two Strangers, 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Droid9. Now making his Movement Recordings debut, Andre teams up with newcomer and fellow countryman Alto Astral for a three-track showcase entitled 'Time Shifter', alongside a remix from label boss Tash.

Working with a strong creative synergy from the start, it is the title selection which leads the release off. Andres and Alto carve out a thunderous, low slung groove to act as the vehicle for waves of flickering percussion and buzzing synth lines. Delicate melodies emerge across the first act, eventually opening up for a strong vocal narrative. Hopeful and charming, these impassioned phrases carry the journey into the break, where tension rises and the framework resets for a groovy finale.

Providing the lone interpretation of 'Time Shifter' is Tash. The Greek artist and Movement brand founder has been a primary fixture of the electronic music underground for well over a decade. In addition to hosting some of Greece's finest events, Tash has also released his music on a host of quality imprints, most notably Beat Boutique, Beatfreak, FSOE and UV. Having recently collaborated with Shrii on a single for label affiliate Movement Limited, Tash now returns to his primary home for a stellar rendition of 'Time Shifter'. Staying true to the main themes from the original, the Movement boss opens up the framework for a greater sense of space where the vocal springs to life amidst a haze of buzzing synths and sweeping atmospheres. Chopped and reprocessed, the vocals play off the key changing groove, as cascading melodies and spine-tingling effects transfer energy into the main break. Coming to fruition, the full vocal emerges across the centrepiece, as kaleidoscopic arps and dynamic modulation spark a resounding drop and charged finale. For the less vocally inclined Tash has also included a dub which will certainly come in handy on the headier dance floors out there.

Rounding out the release are two more originals entitled 'Stargate' and 'Skylight'. The former finds the Argentinean duo drawing on their progressive roots with a smooth, melodious creation that's bound to find favour with progressive music's top DJs. A thunderous, thumping groove sets the pace for sweeping sonics and pixie-like melodies, before a tension filled break puts your sensors on high alert for a stomping final movement. 'Skylight' follows suit with a chunkier groove, choppy percussion, and striking stabs. Dynamic and powerful, its buoyant foundation is adorned with phasing harmonics, as it moves through emotive chord changes leading into the second of two breaks. Opting to dial in anticipation further, the centrepiece opens up into a rhythmic crescendo as the beats drop for a thunderous conclusion. A masterful track from Andre, which puts a resounding cap on an impressive Movement Recordings debut for the Argentinean duo. Don't miss it.

Skanda Records returns after a short hiatus by welcoming Roberto Traista back to the label for a new single. The Hungarian artist's 'Big Nasty' dropped on the Indian imprint in December of last year amidst much support. Now following his 'Echoes of Lightbulbs' for Abstract Space to begin the year, Roberto returns to Skanda with the much anticipated 'Here and Now'.

Looking back on 'Big Nasty' Roberto focused on a spacious big room sound that perfectly merged the worlds of progressive house and techno. On 'Here and Now' the Hungarian showcases his studio repertoire further with another peak time style production that makes great use of afro-drums and nostalgic acid sensibilities. The magic is in the slow, methodical build across it's near eight minute running time, with timely drops, transitions and clever modulation making for several magic moments along with way, not the least of which is a sizzling break which sets the course for a groovy, heads down finale. Sensational stuff from Roberto which makes for an excellent return to Skanda Records, a label who continue to deliver  stellar single track offerings. Don't miss it.

MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

"Paul Angelo and Don Argento return to Tash’s Movement Recordings with a new EP entitled ‘Dear Cave’. Hailing from Cyprus, the much loved duo have become a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2017 with a contribution to the label’s ‘Technical Progress’ Vol. 7 collection. Paul and Don have since gone on to appear an additional four times while also finding a home on Beat Boutique, Dopamine Music, Sound Avenue and Soundteller Records. Now following a stunning remix of Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's 'Rumors' the duo lands back on Movement with a three track artist showcase.

Beginning with the title track 'Dear Cave’ Paul and Don continue to explore the dark progressive minded ethos which has made them such in demand artists. Energetic and fluid, punchy beats and perfectly contoured bass unite for a robust low end. Dramatic pulses and piercing stabs add mightily to the rhythmic core as layers of percussion build momentum with each successive loop. Enticing yet mysterious, ghostly atmospheres take the narrative into a tense break, melting down to an arcane rumble before a tasteful build cues a powerful drop.

'Absence' follows suit with a more minimalistic yet equally mystical approach. Acidic rhythms carry the rolling groove while haunting atmopheres sweep across the stereo field. Once again drama and tension are at a premium here, as a timely break and tasteful modulation resets the groove for a chugging finale.

The third and final selection 'Day Walker' finds the duo lightening the mood just a touch to round out the release. It’s meaty kick and rolling underbelly provide a perfect balance of warmth and drive. Playful arps layer the commanding groove as astral effects and icy overlays steal the air. The narrative shifts with a second act of broken beats, transferring energy into a short break before a rush of noise sparks a smooth and reflective final act. It caps off a welcome return to Movement Recordings for Paul and Don, a production duo who continue to operate at their creative peak."
