Mount Mike and Savaggio present a synergistic collaboration and exploration of melodic techno music. The two crossed paths in West Vancouver and shared an excitement and inspiration for the new and unseen territories that could be realised together. Individually, Mike continues to build his international reputation with a string of exciting releases while Berlin expat Toni, a seasoned musician who’s 2019 touring scheduled included live shows at renowned Berlin clubs Kater Blau, Sysophis, Dojo (Bristol) & La Crosière de Châteu Perché (Paris) has established his reputation in his new home and looks set to make his mark in the US electronic music scene. In addition to their first single release, remixes from emerging talents Rem Siman (Melbourne, Australia) & Gilles Bernies (Düsseldorf, Germany) complement the release and extend a warm embrace by label cohorts and fellow starship troopers ready to join the mission beyond the physical, and into The Promised Land.

PREMIERE: Mount Mike & Savaggio The Promised Land (Rem Siman Remix) [Suckmusic]

Initially scheduled in for June release, the lead and title track ‘Uroboros’ underwent a journey of its own, finding its way into the hands of an exciting 19 year old Düsseldorf singer @julikaelizabeth , who’s compelling vocal session on the piece, ultimately provided a wholeness and infinity to the song. 

“Before taking up electronic music I learned classical piano. The melody from the third track, Augen, is from one of my favourite pieces, prelude op.32 no.5 by Rachmaninoff ”.

ICONYC One are pleased to welcome Rich Curtis to the label with his brand new 'Just Leave EP' to get any dust infused legs shaking. Rich who hails from Australia needs no further introduction to the electronic music loving soul, delivers another magnificent EP showcasing his exceptional production skills.

We kick things off with the title track 'Just Leave' a peak time techno dance floor monster which features a blend of deep bass tones, driving drum programming, cleverly chopped samples and intricately laced chord progressions, building to a massive breakdown before rebuilding to an unrelenting crescendo of energetic drum beats, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline. 'Just Leave' is a club monster that growls from the minute you push the play button. 

The accompanying track 'Binge' is another pumping club affair utilizing a hypnotizing synth chord as the basis of the track, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field to close out this wonderful 2 track release in style. Rich Curtis reinforces his reputation as one the scenes most consistent performers and once again showcases his huge array of production skills. Incredible stuff!

Rich Curtis - Binge (Original Mix) | ICONYC RED 010

It is with the greatest of pleasure that we present our 100th release. A remix of Eudaimonia’s Uroboros is befitting for the occasion, a collaboration between Eudaimonia, label founder Nick Coleman and Düsseldorf singer Julika Elizabeth.

The vocal session from Julika, recorded by the legendary German engineer Peter Krick, was to be the catalyst and inspiration for Coleman’s remix. Recorded in one takes, Julika lay down every part in an hour, without a single retake. Her aura and energy in the session was truly captivating, powerful & transcendental 🤯The Hindu mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” she performs is a popular passage to further know and understand your own self.

Eudaimonia’s Uroboros is an eternal cycle and ultimately the cause of this chain of events. His remix parallels a similar philosophical after thought, the process of going back around, conjuring a new interpretation to further know and understand oneself.

We are proud to present Metodi Hristov for our next OFF SPIN Release. With his unique style, ranging from the darker side of tech house, Bulgarian-based Producer Metodi Hristov presents a 3-track Ep with some acid house  elements and a wide range of forward going soundspaces.

“Another Day“, first Track of the EP, starts with some radical percussion based house that leads to a gliding deep base, underlined by vocals.

In collaboration with Gallya on “She Said“, the duo takes it to the deeper level and combines spheric sounding percussion with gliding mallet notes which distinguish the track. Afterhour straightness that involves all leftovers to move.

Last but not least, Simone Vitullo adds an arpeggiated techhouse-version of “Another Day“ to the EP. A dark sub surrounded by minimalistic hats and strict but heavy beats bring down the sound of an great acidic house work.

Definitely an EP to play at dark and dusty hours.

The last release from Flow Vinyl was back in July 2016, but don't let the low profile since then fool you: the label has been busy preparing their next trio of releases, which include two from Oovation and one from Rich Curtis, all to say a great 2017 start. First up is 'Falter' by Oovation feat. Amber Long and the wait has been more than worth it. 'Falter' is classic Flow Vinyl material: melodic progressive house, expertly produced with an infectious vocal and enough bite for tougher dancefloors.

Oovation is the production name of Pierre Bonaventura from Saarbrücken in Germany, and he has become one of the hottest young producers on the progressive techno scene. After several strong releases, it's only natural that he brings his sound to Flow Vinyl and that the results are very impressive indeed. 'Falter' features the vocals of regular collaborator Amber Long, and it's a mesmerizingly beautiful track full of swirling synths and dramatic energy. In true Oovation style, it has a haunting, darker edge too, which is fully complemented by Long's sensuous voice.

First up on the remix is Switchbox – the partnership of Götz Bökler and Nik Bohn from Cologne – who push the percussion of the original to the forefront to create a seriously funked-up slice of deep techno. Brilliantly crafted, their version is an eight-minute epic of ghostly melodies and far-out effects. The second remix comes from Juan Deminicis from Buenos Aires, an established member of the Flow Vinyl crew, who delivers a minimal-style, almost ambient reworking. With its spacey synths and stripped-back vocal, it has the feel of an imaginary soundtrack, and perfectly complements the other two versions to create a package of light and shade to suit all tastes.
