"Science philosopher Karl Popper put forth the idea that the world could be divided into two categories: clocks and clouds. Clocks are fixed, orderly systems that can be understood by reducing them to their simplest parts. Clouds are, however an 'epistemic mess...' that are 'highly irregular, disorderly, and more or less unpredictable.' This adage was used to illustrate the dilemma of both science (and, I think in daily life) to approach all things as though they were clocks. We want to give nature (and people) a blueprint. But this approach is destined to bring nothing but frustration. The cosmos, its phenomenon, and people are much more like clouds than clocks."

To celebrate our label's first anniversary, we are releasing Sergio Díaz De Rojas' EP December 03 (Reworked), an outstanding collaborative project that will provide the listener with a varied collection of reworks, ranging from delicate piano and cello to soft electronic and ambient. This EP features CEEYS, Matt Emery, Elskavon, and Jakob Lindhagen.

"December 03 was composed and recorded in one afternoon, and released in the middle of the night, without any sort of promotion. Two years later, with the intention of giving these simple but meaningful piano pieces some recognition - and to close that particular phase of my work as a composer - I invited some of my friends to reimagine the four tracks on the EP, and decided to release it through my dear label."

December 03 (Reworked) will be available digitally and on limited edition cassette, alongside a remastered version of the four original piano pieces composed by Sergio.

Sergey Yenanov, also known as Mélodrama, is a contemporary composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and graduated choir conductor from Kyiv, Ukraine.

At the age of five, he began learning the drums and piano, followed by the trumpet and accordion. Sergey started writing music when he was fourteen years old. After graduating from the National University of Arts, he went on to have a career as a choir leader, classical singer, and songwriter. Now he is focused on creating music for films and commercials. 

In 2018, the record-breaking South Korean boy band BTS used his composition in their live performance of "BTS: The 4th Muster." His music has also been licensed by Disney, the United Nations, Armani, and Hublot, and can be heard in television series, documentaries, and ads on well-known TV networks.
