In 1959 Duane Eddy and the Rebels recorded this and it climbed to #9 on the Billboard charts .Pretty high for an instrumental. Al Casey a pretty good guitarist was a member of the Rebels at that time and co- wrote the tune with Duane. It was among the first recordings of Duane Eddy that I heard and I have always loved and wanted to play it ,but I had never recorded it until now. My brother Cliff and I did play it back in the 60'S at beach parties etc., but we couldn't do the Steve Douglas sax parts which we loved. I found a backing band with the sax in it ,so I had to put my guitar track on that. I extended the track from the original to have a bit more fun with it.
