The Inaugural Flow Sessions mix comes from a favourite from Melbourne's vibrant house scene - Luke Vecchio. Flow Sessions strives to support musicians, producers and DJ's in good times and bad. With this is mind we have commissioned DJs around the world to contribute mixes to our new series 'Flow sessions' The Flow team are working on a new waterfront Venue in the heart of Melbourne opening summer 2020. We thought it would be appropriate to show some support for our future performers now when it's needed most.

A message from the artist

'It is hard to find appropriate words to describe the love and passion that The Flow infuse into their ideas. considering we are currently living in a time where there is a lot of uncertainty, one thing we as humans have an abundance of is LOVE, The Flow is one of the purest representations and expressions of that, Love for music, Love for connection, Love for opportunity, Love for Life. 
to be asked to put together a mix for them is an absolute honour, i decided to curate a set that also shares that same pure intention, I decided to split the 3h33m mix into 3 x 1h11m mixes, each section has a clear and distinct journey, a love filled opening, a driving and electric middle, and finally i was able to finish off with completely original music, this is the first time i have shared all of my own creations in a mix, leaving each valued listener with a taste of where we come from, where we are going, and finish off with some original flavours from yours truly 🙂

This week's Flow Sessions brings us to one of the founders of the eminent Berlin Techno and House label Katermukke, Dirty Doering (@dirtydoering). 
Words from the artist: It’s a very special year for the most of us, but music is still running. It doesn’t matter what happens--music will survive. This year, it was my first mix over 3 hours that I created. I used a lot tracks from my labels Katermukke, Mukke, and MoNSTER. So much good music from amazing artists came out this year irrespective if there is a pandemic or not. Anyway, I’m looking forward to normal times again, and hope I can bring that same normality and dance feelings to your home.

Flow Sessions 018 - Dirty Doering

Like many others I'm adjusting to this new way of life, a life with restrictions and without dance floors (at least that's the case here in Ibiza) I created this set as a journey where I wanted to capture the mood of island which is different this year but still in flow.

The set starts slow, something you can put on by a poolside gathering and builds with energy to remind there’s still good times to be found celebrating with friends and family; the set then comes to a close with a gentle delicate ending. It’s all about finding new rhythms and specifically the island’s new rhythm <3

Heimlich Knüller graces Flow Sessions 028, generations of ravers have had their spirits lifted by this incredible performer. We were lucky enough to have Heimlich play at our inaugural Flow Event at The Sage Club In Berlin, look out for the footage. We look forward to the artists description once it is translated from German... Thank you Deep. This mix starts almost in a folky vein but at 45 minutes really gets into it's groove. You will absolutely be captivated but the sheer talent and imagination that is H.K.

First weekend in 2021 we have a pleasure to share Cesar Marcos mix. He was born in 1976 in Barcelona, Spain. He started with music at the age of 13, at 17 he was already working in afters, private parties at local places. He have a passion for Electronic music and already started producing his own music. The genres he preferred listen and play are techno, dark techno, melodic techno, organic house, deep house, electronica, progressive house etc. He is passionate about the world of melodies. COLETTi is the project of journalist and DJ Léo Coletti, he presents an repertoire with influences ranging from house to techno and experiencing these textures through the melodic and progressive universe. COLETTi was honored to be one of the first students at D-EDGE College in 2010, the DJ school of the legendary D-EDGE club. 

The DJ is a major highlight on local scene playing at numerous events and festivals.
